However, the implications of this process in rural areas are revealed as an enigma facing the limitation of data and information equivalent to those individuals who continue their education after completing high school. Thus, the present research analyzed the internalization of policies of higher education and job prospects of young people from rural microregion of Manhuaçu, Minas Gerais. Specifically it tried to map and analyze the choices of higher education courses for these young rural people by identifying their aspirations for the conclusion of these studies, as well as the interesr to stay or not in rural communities. It also sought to analyze the evaluation of young people As regards regional opportunities for the realization of their professional projects, thus observing the public policies of access to higher education used by them. The chosen methodology was composed by bibliographic research, documentary and for field research that included the use of questionnaires and interviews. From the analysis we found that the process of expansion of higher education has benefited young rural people, however, they are still inserted in a reality that makes it difficult to continue their studies beyond high school. We observe that they aspire to get professional education and continue living in their rural communities and municipal, which led us to realize that the expansion of higher education associated with creating job opportunities for young rural people can result in containing migration and development regional. Thus, there is the need to understand the process of internalization of higher education beyond the academic insertion of individuals, for this to be accompanied by other policies to ensure job opportunities and political participation, thus resulting in the development of freedoms and skills of young rural people.|
