Resumo: The demand for projects with more agile results and deliveries has an impact on the way in which software projects are managed. Thus, efficient and effective management is essential for projects to be executed satisfactorily and successfully delivered. This understanding occurs through the analysis of problems and the creation of solutions that effectively meet the customers' desires and that add value to the business. PMBOK is a traditional project management guide maintained by the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 1969, being a reference for the successful delivery of software development projects. Scrum was created in 1993 by Jeff Sutherland and has become one of the most widely used agile methods in the world. In this context, an alternative approach known as hybrid project management emerges, which is the combination of best practices of traditional and agile methods. According to the bibliographic research carried out in this work, the balance between the traditional and agile method ensures that the most appropriate practices are used during project management. For categorizing projects we will use the Diamond Model of four dimensions (technology, novelty, complexity and pace). The general objective was defined: To identify which practices should be considered for the analysis of balance between the traditional method and the agile method in software project management. The methodological approach used is of the quantitative, qualitative and exploratory type, since a bibliographical research was carried out in this work, a proposal of the conceptual model and a research script, which was answered by 56 specialists in software development from companies located in the city of São Paulo. The results demonstrate the feasibility of balancing traditional and agile practices. It is concluded that the practices of acquisitions, cost, planning and quality presented a higher result of grades, thus tending to the traditional method, whereas the client, documentation, closing, management, influence and meeting practices presented a tendency towards the agile method. Finally, this research shows that there is a balance between agile and traditional practices, and that this phenomenon occurs in different intensities depending on the context of each Project

O Scrum foi criado em 1993 por Jeff Sutherland e vem se tornando um dos métodos ágeis mais utilizadas no mundo. Neste contexto, surge uma abordagem alternativa conhecida como gerenciamento de projetos híbridos, que é a combinação das melhores práticas dos métodos tradicional e ágil. Segundo a pesquisa bibliográfica realizada neste trabalho o balanceamento entre o método tradicional e ágil garante que as práticas mais adequadas sejam utilizadas durante a gestão do projeto. Para categorização de projetos utilizaremos o Modelo Diamante de quatro dimensões (tecnologia, novidade, complexidade e ritmo). Definiu-se como objetivo geral: Identificar quais práticas devem ser consideradas para a análise de balanceamento entre o método tradicional e o método ágil no gerenciamento de projeto de software. A abordagem metodologia usada é do tipo quantitativa, qualitativa e exploratória, uma vez que foi realizada, neste trabalho, uma pesquisa bibliográfica, uma proposição do modelo conceitual e um roteiro de pesquisa, o qual foi respondido por 56 especialistas em desenvolvimento de software de empresas brasileiras localizadas na cidade de São Paulo. Os resultados demonstram a viabilidade do balanceamento entre práticas tradicionais e ágeis. Conclui-se que as práticas de aquisições, custo, planejamento e qualidade apresentaram resultado maior de notas, tendendo assim para o método tradicional, já as práticas cliente, documentação, encerramento, gestão, influência e reunião apresentaram uma tendência para o método ágil.
