The present research is part of the research line on "culture and symbolic systems" within the Sciences of Religion and aims to establish, through the inductive method, the indispensability of religion in the recovery of inmates in the Brazilian Penitentiary System by the APAC Method (Association Protection and Assistance to Convicts) where, through a multiple case study, facing the inmates of the Center for Social Resocialization of the Municipality of Paracatu, State of Minas Gerais, fundamentals of the APAC Method are analyzed, namely, "the importance of experience with God", "the family" and "the journey of liberation with Christ" as well as the speech of the participating Apaqueans, abstracting how religion acts in the recovery of those incarcerated by the APAC System. In addition to conceptual and historical aspects, it presents aspects of the social, local and institutional context of APAC in ParacatuMG through the observation of the prison institution environments, the symbolisms, the history and the analysis of the participants' discourse. In addition to the Apaquean doctrine, authors Clifford James Geertz (1926 - 2006) and Peter Ludwig Berger (1929 - 2017), among others, were invoked in view of the specificity of the APAC Method and the Paracatuense APAC. The observance of the processes of meaning and their taxonomies in the APAC Paracatuense System was carried out by carrying out field research where, through the application of a semi-structured questionnaire, using the quantitative and qualitative method, primary data were sought and, consequently, , the secondary data guiding the thesis. With the selection of volunteers and participants among the inmates who had served more than 12 months of sentence under the APAC Method, so that the speech analysis of the selected ones could bring up the religious recuperative phenomenon within the APAC of Paracatu-MG. The Apaque Social Reintegration Centers are penal institutions with religious foundations and elements that, through the so-called PublicPrivate Partnerships, in Brazil, assume the execution of sentences restricting the freedom of Brazilian citizens with religious activities and exercises as one of the pillars for the recovery, reinsertion and social resocialization of convicts (recovering students). Therefore, the Social Ressocialization Centers by the APAC Method, notably the Social Ressocialization Center of Paracatu-MG, present themselves as an object of study not only for the Sciences of Religion as well as for related sciences, showing themselves as an alternative and solution for the recovery of convicts, as well as the improvement of problems in the Brazilian Penitentiary System
