This dissertation on rural workers and social security, in Goiânia metropolitan region has as its object of study the challenges faced by rural workers in ensuring social protection retirement age between 2009 and 2012. This dissertation aims to know, understand, reflect and analyze the difficulty that rural workers face to get to retire by age due to insufficient or inconsistent documentation proving the exercise of the activity of (specially insured) or lack of fifteen years of contribution. It is proposed to understand the public policy that supports the care of this segment within the capitalist system in the contemporary world. The subjects of this research are rural workers called special insured to whom the law does not require the direct contribution, they perform their activities with their families in the so-called regime of subsistence economy that cares to daily employees and laborers. The interest in conducting this study is linked to my everyday experience as a social worker, working directly with the insured. And the need to reflect the reason for the failure in presenting the documentation required by the local authority to apply for the benefit by age. Denying the right to require the benefit is one of the expressions of social issues presented historically, in which workers are prevented from enjoying the rights provided by law, like, retirement, among others, having to resort to the courts in order to get their right in their old age.
