Resumo: The research on the pedagogy of Jesus when using proverbs according to the narratives of the third Gospel, consists of analyzing the use of such sentences in Jesus' pedagogical proposal, reflecting on the limits and possibilities of their application in the world of education in contemporary society. The methodology, through bibliographic investigation, refers to the systematic review of the literature from the main theoretical contributions that support this thesis, through books, dictionaries, periodicals, articles, internet websites, among others. And, from an approach perspective, deductive and dialectical methodologies are prioritized to critically reflect on Jesus' proposal in relation to contemporary education. Since the beginning of humanity, there are records of countercurrent teaching pedagogical initiatives coming from popular wisdom and that contribute to educational proposals that help not to alienate, above all, the social excluded from a given reality. The textual composition, based on the popular sayings of Jesus' pedagogy according to the Gospel of Luke, makes it possible to understand the limits and possibilities of the principles and reflections on education, considering the specificities combined by the time and space of sociocultural, political and educational situations. And in the meantime, a critical analysis of a quality and autonomous education is established as an inspiration for the contemporary educational system that prioritizes the students' know-how, as well as the essential values that guarantee ethical attitudes and, therefore, a participation free and aware of all Brazilian citizens. Finally, the discussions propose teaching experiences through proverbs also in contemporary education, and, therefore, it is important to think about the continuity of the research, through a field study, to reflect even more on Jesus' educational proposal for the contemporary pedagogy

A metodologia, através da investigação bibliográfica, se refere à revisão sistemática da literatura a partir dos principais aportes teóricos que fundamentam a presente tese, por meio de livros, dicionários, periódicos, artigos, sites da internet entre outros. E, numa perspectiva de abordagem são priorizadas as metodologias dedutivas e dialética para refletir criticamente sobre a proposta de Jesus em relação à educação contemporânea. Desde os primórdios da humanidade, há registros de iniciativas pedagógicas de ensino contracorrente provenientes da sabedoria popular e que contribuem com propostas educativas que dasalienem, sobretudo, os excluídos sociais de uma dada realidade. A composição textual, a partir dos ditados populares da pedagogia de Jesus segundo o evangelho de Lucas, possibilita compreender os limites e as possibilidades dos princípios e das reflexões sobre a educação, considerando as especificidades conjugadas pelo tempo e espaço das conjunturas socioculturais, políticas e educacionais. E nesse ínterim, se estabelece a análise crítica de uma educação de qualidade e autônoma como inspiração para o sistema educativo contemporâneo que priorize o saber fazer dos educandos(as), bem como os valores essenciais que garantem atitudes éticas e, por isso, uma participação livre e consciente de todos(as) os cidadãos(ãs) brasileiros(as).
