The representation of religious objects as pain mitigators and hope catalyzers for parents and relatives of children in clinical treatment has the importance of portraying the necessity of maintaining practises that ran through centuries, those that characterize the ethos of certain communities. This study had its aim on identifying the signification of the sacred object and the religiousness of the caretakers of internship patients in hospital environment. The central problem was to understand what was the representations in face of the objects considered as sacrede.The data revealed the practice of a social ethics, integrated in rules of living together, difficult to understand in post-modernity. It was verified the social inequality and dependancy of public benefits. The prevalence of a traditional culture about he life meaning in moments of pain and death proximity were recurrent to the woman figure and the attachment to the security representativeness in religiousness and the search por better conditions facing afflictions. The maintenance of practices that ran through centuries, that confirmed the ethos of certain communities. The emotional fragility influenced on the search for comfort, hpe, strength, through religiousness: asking for prayers, using imagens, objects, bibles, handkerchiefs, chaplets and blessed oils. Due to the amount of responsibility over the mother figure, it is suggested the divulging of the social and assistencial benefits to the masculine caretakers, that would promote sensibilization about the importance of their roles in face of children. It is urgent the training to the caretaking of children to these and at the same time, the resizing of the physical unit of the hospital to receive them and a multimedia and welcome room. To the social and psychological support it is indicated to make available a special fund to support them during hospitalization, and the same to pay other services, including increase the number of employees able to support caretakers. This is to conclude that there is a necessity of training professionals to support caretakers psychologically and spiritually to the comprehension of religiousness expressions, made possible by planning intervention strategies, discussions, lectures and creating and reshaping appropriate physical spaces to religious practeses in hospital environment, as a prevent measure against conflicts and behaviour disturbs in front of internship children, such as despair scenes, affliction, repeated prayers and similar behaviour that would cause significative alteration on the inpatient and companions.
