The present research addresses gender inequality, focusing on how stereotypes and discrimination impact the integration and advancement of women in the technology sector. The primary objective of the study is to analyze gender dynamics in the tech industry, identifying the challenges women face and evaluating inclusion and support initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality in this field. This descriptive-exploratory research employs a qualitative approach, presenting a literature review on gender phenomena and mapping initiatives that support women. Additionally, it includes interviews with women currently working or attempting to work in technology, providing data on their career trajectories. It also includes an intersectional profile featuring Black women, trans and non-binary individuals, those from peripheral areas, or those in social vulnerability. The results reveal that gender stereotypes continue to negatively influence women's careers in technology. The study explores barriers such as lack of support from family and teachers, absence of role models, systemic discrimination, as well as impostor syndrome, the double-bind, and the glass ceiling. Support programs and inclusion initiatives have proven fundamental for the resilience and advancement of women, though there is still a need for improvements, such as monitoring and transparency. The dissertation concludes that initiatives promoting women in technology are essential for fostering gender equality in the tech sector. Women's resilience is highlighted as a crucial factor in overcoming challenges and breaking traditional paradigms, ensuring that women can fully contribute to the tech sector and, by extension, to society as a whole
