The present research aims to analyze the published academic works with the theme women quilombolas in relation to memories, identities, knowledge and deeds in the process of transmission and preservation of their culture, based on orality. The research problem that guides the study is to identify which symbolic and cultural elements contribute to the preservation of memory and construction of identity of quilombola women. To this end, academic works were analyzed identifying symbolic and cultural elements that contribute to the transmission of women’s knowledge and skills in quilombola communities, highlighting the construction of identity and cultural continuity. The qualitative research of bibliographic character was carried out from the review of Dissertations and Theses collected by Google Academic, Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) of the Brazilian Institute of Scientific and Technological Information (IBICT) and Thesis and Dissertation Bank of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher-Level Personnel (CAPES), as well as the current legislation. The time frame adopted was between 2014 and 2024. The work was structured in four chapters. The introduction brings the trajectory and personal experiences of the author, presents the theme and the methodological path; the first chapter is characterized by the cartography of the research; the second presents the quilombola communities and the representation of the female; The third chapter addresses the place of memory in quilombola communities; and the fourth, brings the analysis of dissertations and theses about the female universe quilombola. In the final considerations, the study points out the contributions to understanding in areas such as culture, society, gender and ethnic interactions. The research allows a deeper understanding of the formation of the identity of quilombola women living in regions marked by disputes and, often, by socio-environmental and economic conflicts
