Resumo: | Skin sores are considered a public health concern due to their high occurrence rate among the population. Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) with different wavelengths is one of the novel therapies that focus on speeding up and optimising these injuries’ healing process. The goal of this study is to evaluate the tissue reparation from secondary intention wound healing in rats through clinic and histopathologic parameters. This research was sent to and approved by the Ethical Animal Use Commision (CEUA) of the State University of Paraíba (UEPB) in Campina Grande-PB. In this study, 60 male albino rats of the Wistar lineage were used. Each of these animals weighed approximately 250g and was 10 weeks old. The animals were anaesthetised and subjected to an excisional skin wound in the dorsal region measuring 0.6mm in diameter and four experimental groups were formed through simple randomization. The groups were: the Control Group (simulated treatment with a turned-off device), the Red Group (λ=660 nm, 100 mW, 1J per stitch, 10 second) (n=15); the Infrared Group (λ=808 nm, 100 mW, 1J per stitch, 10 seconds) (n=15); the Combined Group: Red and Infrared (λ=660 nm, 100 mW, 1J + λ=808 nm, 100 mW, 1J) (n=15): irradiated simultaneously, with subgroups of 5 animals for each eutanasia period (03, 07, and 14 days after the wound). The therapy sessions occurred immediately after the wounds were introduced and were repeated every 48 hours, except on the day the animal was euthanized. After the animals were euthanized, in their respective predefined days, the Wound Contraction Index (WCI) was evaluated, the specimen was removed, and its tissue cuttings were submitted to hematoxylin-eosin (HE) and toluidine blue (TBO) staining. The largest wound retractions occurred in the 14-day period, compared to the other periods analysed. Moreover, the amount of inflammatory cells decreased at the end of the period evaluated, the number of mastocytes varied, and the re-epithelialization process in the groups was also completed at the 14-day mark. |

Dentre as novas terapias estudadas que visam a aceleração e otimização do processo de cicatrização dessas injúrias, tem-se a terapia com a luz laser de baixa intensidade em diferentes comprimentos de onda. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a reparação tecidual de feridas cicatrizadas por segunda intenção em dorso de ratos através de parâmetros clínicos e histopatológicos. Esta pesquisa foi aprovada pela Comissão de Ética no Uso de Animais (CEUA) da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB) de Campina Grande-PB. Foram utilizados 60 ratos albinos machos da linhagem Wistar, anestesiados e submetidos a uma ferida cutânea excisional na região dorsal com 0,6mm de diâmetro e divididos por randomização simples em 4 grupos experimentais: Grupo Controle (tratamento simulado com aparelho desligado) (n=15); Vermelho (=660 nm, 100 mW, 1 J por ponto, 10 segundos) (n=15); Infravermelho (=808 nm, 100 mW, 1 J por ponto, 10 segundos) (n=15); Combinado: Vermelho e Infravermelho (=660 nm, 100 mW, 0,5 J + =808 nm, 100 mW, 0,5 J) (n=15), irradiados simultaneamente, com subgrupos de 5 animais para cada tempo de eutanásia (03, 07, 14 dias após a lesão). As terapias foram realizadas imediatamente após a indução das lesões e se repetiram a cada 48h, com exceção dos dias de eutanásia. Após eutanásia dos animais nos tempos preestabelecidos, realizou-se a avaliação do Índice de Retração da Ferida (IRF), remoção do espécime e os cortes foram submetidos a coloração em Hematoxilina-Eosina (HE) e Azul de Toluidina (AT). No período de 14 dias ocorreram maiores retrações das feridas, quando comparado aos demais períodos estudados com significância estatística entre os grupos CTRL e COMB (p=0,09); CTRL e VERM (p=0,09); INFRA e CTRL (p=0,09); INFRA e VERM (p=0,09). Além disto, a quantidade de células inflamatórias diminuiu ao final do período avaliado principalmente nos grupos COMB e INFRA. O número de mastócitos foi variado e em 14 dias os resultados estatisticamente significaticos foram analisados nos grupos INFRA e CTRL em MCT3 (p=0,11) e, INFRA x VERM também em MCT3 (p=0,12). O grau de reepitelização dos grupos tratados foi completo também aos 14 dias. Destaca-se que com os resultados observados neste estudo, somados à carência de pesquisas que utilizam esses parâmetros, a presente pesquisa abre um campo que merece destaque e futuras investigações.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Odontologia - PPGOUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPODONTOLOGIALaserterapiaFeridasCicatrizaçãoDoenças na peleAvaliação da fotobiomodulação na reparação de feridas cutâneas: Estudo clínico e histológico em ratosEvaluation of the Family Health Strategy from the elderly perspective in Campina Grande, Paraíbainfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisNonaka, Cassiano Francisco Weegehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0224522010734716Nonaka, Cassiano Francisco Weegehttp://lattes.cnpq.br/0224522010734716Barbosa, Carlos Augusto Galvãohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5004397230198722Catão, Maria Helena Chaves de Vasconceloshttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2133065990110383http://lattes.cnpq.br/9334840765872422Farias, Laís Gonzaga deinfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBORIGINALDS - Laís Gonzaga de FariasDS - Laís Gonzaga de FariasDS - Laís Gonzaga de Fariasapplication/pdf1582378https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/248e28a6-f48c-4033-9af1-076939019779/downloadc37b5495f329fe358354d2a47c0c85ffMD52trueAnonymousREADTermo de depósito BDTDTermo de depósito BDTDTermo de depósito BDTDapplication/pdf363673https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/68173849-5276-43e8-8d42-887a8e321c8d/download2cf0b68dcfcfc8f9f6d84b337a04c636MD53falseAnonymousREAD2999-12-31LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
