Resumo: | Motorcycle accidents are frequent, causing loss of life and/or high costs to public coffers. They are also causes of anxiety and depression, both in survivors and family members, especially when the accident results in serious consequences (amputations, blindness, neuromotor injuries). Understand how serious sequelae affect the mental health of patients who are victims of motorcycle accidents. The practical study was empirical research, of a cross-sectional nature, with a qualitative approach, to be constructed from the analysis of interviews with victims of motorcycle accidents with serious consequences. The research was carried out at the Regional Center for Rehabilitation and Assistance in Occupational Health (Cerast), in Campina Grande – PB. As a data collection procedure, there was a semi-structured interview administered remotely (Google Forms® and telephone call), in which a form and guiding questions about the object of study were used. For data processing and analysis, the IRAMUTEQ software was used. Six patients participated in the study, who met the following inclusion criteria: sufferers of serious physical sequelae (amputations, blindness or para/quadriplegia) resulting from motorcycle accidents in which they were involved as drivers, over 18 years of age, who are under supervision clinical-physiotherapy at the Specialized Center for Rehabilitation and Occupational Health Assistance (Cerast), who are able to respond to the Questionnaire and Interview applied by the author. As exclusion criteria, those with neuro-cerebral sequelae that make it impossible to respond to the application of data collection instruments, and subjects who present discomfort or embarrassment in answering the questions. The study consisted of patients who were victims of motorcycle accidents and had serious consequences. Given the limited number of participants in the aforementioned study scenario, the sample was census. Evidenced in the situation, symptoms of anxiety and depression after the event. It can be understood that motorcycle accidents are frequent in our country, characterizing a public health problem, with a risk of death or disabling consequences, such as the serious consequences of patients who are victims of motorcycle accidents highlighted here and the interference with their mental health. Studies like this can provide support and show their importance for the development of public policies focused on traffic, for inclusion in the curriculum of teachings regarding traffic laws, for implementing preventive and health promotion measures, improving post-trauma care With care focused on the mental health of individuals with serious sequelae, we also realize the need for research focused on the problem, suggesting related topics for future research. |

São também causas de ansiedade e depressão, tanto em sobreviventes quanto familiares, sobretudo quando do acidente decorrem sequelas graves (amputações, cegueira, lesões neuro-motoras). Compreender como as sequelas graves interferem na saúde mental dos pacientes vítimas de acidentes motociclísticos. O estudo prático foi sobre pesquisa empírica, de caráter transversal, de abordagem qualitativa, a ser construída a partir da análise das entrevistas junto às vítimas de acidentes motociclísticos com sequelas graves. A pesquisa foi realizada no Centro Regional de Reabilitação e Assistência em Saúde do Trabalhador (Cerast), em Campina Grande– PB. Como procedimento de coleta de dados houve uma entrevista semiestruturada aplicada de maneira remota (Google Forms® e ligação telefônica), na qual foi utilizado um formulário e as questões norteadoras sobre o objeto de estudo. Para o processamento e a análise dos dados, utilizou-se o software IRAMUTEQ. Participaram do estudo 06 pacientes, que atenderam aos seguintes critérios de inclusão: portadores de sequelas físicas graves (amputações, cegueira ou para/tetraplegias) resultantes de acidentes motociclísticos nos quais se envolveram na condição de condutores, maiores de 18 anos, que estejam sob acompanhamento clínico-fisioterápico no Centro Especializado em Reabilitação e Assistência à Saúde do Trabalhador (Cerast), que apresentem condições de responder a Questionário e Entrevista aplicados pela autora. Como critérios de exclusão, os portadores de sequelas neuro-cerebrais impossibilitantes de responsividade à aplicação dos instrumentos de coleta dos dados, e os sujeitos que apresentem desconforto ou constrangimento em responder as questões. O estudo foi composto por pacientes vítimas de acidentes motociclísticos que possuem sequelas graves. Tendo em vista o número restrito desses participantes no referido cenário do estudo, a amostra foi censitária. Evidenciados na situação, os sintomas de ansiedade e depressão após o evento. Pode-se compreender que os acidentes motociclísticos são frequentes em nosso meio, caracterizando um problema de saúde pública, com risco de morte ou de sequelas incapacitantes, como as sequelas graves dos pacientes vítimas de acidentes motociclísticos aqui evidenciados e a interferência em sua saúde mental. Estudos como este podem fornecer subsídio e mostra sua importância para elaboração de políticas públicas voltadas para o trânsito, para inclusão na grade curricular de ensinamentos a respeito às leis do trânsito, para implementar medidas preventivas e de promoção à saúde, melhorar o atendimento ao pós trauma com atendimento voltado a saúde mental do individuo com sequelas graves, também percebemos a necessidade de pesquisas voltadas para o problema, sugerindo temas correlatos para pesquisas futuras.application/pdfUniversidade Estadual da ParaíbaPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Saúde Pública - PPGSPUEPBBRPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPPró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa - PRPGPCIENCIAS DA SAUDEAcidente de trânsitoMotociclistaSaúde mentalAcidentes motociclísticos com sequelas graves: repercussões na saúde mental de condutoresinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisCoura, Alexsandro Silvahttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-0628-648Xhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5597558131874152França, Inácia Sátiro Xavier dehttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-2695-510Xhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2783760383527777Valença, Cecília Nogueirahttps://orcid.org/0000-0003-3998-3983http://lattes.cnpq.br/2788316719185705Coura, Alexsandro Silvahttps://orcid.org/0000-0002-0628-648Xhttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5597558131874152https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0552-5335http://lattes.cnpq.br/3714421555218257Farias, Rayssa Gabrielle da Costainfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessporreponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instname:Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB)instacron:UEPBORIGINALDS - Rayssa Gabrielle da Costa Farias.pdfDS - Rayssa Gabrielle da Costa Farias.pdfDS - Rayssa Gabrielle da Costa Fariasapplication/pdf917690https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/11b3ee4b-11d3-45d2-bf7c-8103f58545ab/downloadbe33f329b18f042c909658826319d008MD58trueAnonymousREADTermo de Depósito BDTD.pdfTermo de Depósito BDTD.pdfTermo de Depósito BDTDapplication/pdf106591https://repositorio.uepb.edu.br/bitstreams/88ab4cc1-7922-4d1e-8729-0f906c1a6d54/download4abea0c7bb4a2c777f8a4cc749ea40baMD55falseAnonymousREAD2999-12-31LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
