Resumo: This work had as aim to evaluate the inhibitory effect of a product based on essential oils of medicinal plants Lippia sidoides Cham and Cymbopogon winterianus Jowitt in relation to Lasiodiploidia theobromae fungus cause of the resinosis in cashew tree (Anacardium occidentale L.). It had been done field evaluations in lesions on cashew tree branches and stalk, in arboretum on inserted seedlings and in laboratory by the in vitro pathogen mycelial growth. At Embrapa Tropical Agroindustry Laboratory in vitro essays were conducted where Carbendazim synthetic fungicide was tested in concentration of 2ml and the natural fungicide Funginat in concentrations of 5ml and 10ml, being evaluated in three incubation times (24, 48, and 72 hours) with 10 repetitions, totalizing 30 treatments. The delineation was entirely casualized. The colonies medium diameters (mm) were determined after 7 days of incubation. The results demonstrated the inhibitory effect in 100% of tested Funginat concentrations. The field essay was conducted in Planalto Farm (CIONE), located at Pio IX city, Piauí State, where 96 plants of CCP-09 clone were selected for treatment. The treatments were done with commercial alcohol, Carbendazim, Funginat and surgery. The delineation was entirely casualized in 4 x 2 factorial schemes (treatments x application sites). As from the second month the evaluations of longitudinal and transversal measures of branches and stalks were started. The results showed that Funginat was more efficient controlling lesions on branches. In Experimental Field of Pacajus (EMBRAPA/CNAPT) arboretum, 200 seedlings were inserted in CCP-76 clone shoots. The delineation was entirely casualized with 4 treatments. The fungicides Carbendazim (2ml/l) and Funginat (5ml/l e 10ml/l) were applied on shoots. The evaluations were effectuated in 15 and 30 days after grafting. Carbendazim was more effective on phatogenic control, and Funginat ointment made difficult the shoot soldering.
