Relações entre valores organizacionais e comprometimento organizacional: um estudo em uma cooperativa de prestação de serviços médicos

As a modality of organization, cooperatives have their own characteristics, largely associated with the set of values and principles that underlie them. Consequently, its functioning differs from that of other types of organizations, such as companies, including in terms of the working relationships and ties of its personnel with the organization. Given this reality, this research aims to investigate the relationship between organizational commitment and organizational values in a cooperative providing medical services. This is a descriptive and exploratory research, with a quantitative approach. It is also a documentary and field research, carried out through the application of a survey, with the object of study being Unimed Fortaleza, which is part of the largest medical cooperative in the supplementary health market in Brazil. In the analysis of quantitative data, software and statistical methods were used, using univariate and multivariate analyses, as well as multiple regression analyses. The study demonstrated, in a hierarchical way, that the values prestige, concern for the collectivity, achievement and autonomy are the values with the highest averages in identifying the organizational value of the cooperative studied. The cooperative members show a good level of commitment with an emphasis on the dimension obligation for performance.The results showed that organizational commitment was influenced by organizational values in their achievement and compliance factors.
