Educação ambiental dialógica no assentamento São Gonçalo – Crateús-CE: a terra como mãe, a ternura no caminhar e novas atitudes no viver. 2017, 151f. - Dissertação (Mestrado) - Universidade Federal do Ceará, Fortaleza (CE), 2017.The purpose of this dissertation is to relate the understanding about Environmental Education, implicit in the practice of the community of rural settlement São Gonçalo, with the principles of Environmental Dialogic Education and to discover how these can contribute to the sustainability of the settlement. Environmental Dialogic Education is based on the pedagogy of Paulo Freire and the Eco-Relational Perspective. One might take into account that the relation between the community itself and the nonhuman nature differs from the one between community and itself and, also, community between the territories. Therefore, this approach seeks to work environmental education under the lights of the transforming relationship through dialogue, knowledge, information and knowledge exchange. It contributes to the organization, participation and self-management of the settlement. As a reference, it was used the Earth Charter and the Environmental Education Treaty for Sustainable Societies and Global Responsibility, important documents of the ECO-92 or Earth Summit, also called the Global Forum 92, promoted by civil society organizations. These documents affirm ethical principles and fundamental values that guide communities, schools, countries, cultures, races and people for the common good, through global sustainability, which includes socio-environmental justice and a responsibility with the non-exhaustion of nature as infinite resource. During the research, differences of conceptions of the people interviewed and who participated in the circle of culture in the treatment of environmental education and daily actions with the environment were perceived, from the social representations about the environmental education in a perception that transited between a reading globalizing and anthropocentric. This difference implies a contradiction proper to contemporaneity. It presents contradictions in the way of conducting care with land and animals, as well as in the direction of collective and individual work, but it denotes commitment to the collective actions of the settlement.A proposta desta dissertação é relacionar a compreensão acerca da Educação Ambiental, implícita na prática da comunidade do assentamento rural São Gonçalo, com os princípios da Educação Ambiental Dialógica e descobrir como esses podem contribuir para a sustentabilidade do assentamento. A Educação Ambiental Dialógica é baseada na pedagogia de Paulo Freire e na Perspectiva Eco-Relacional. Há de se ter em conta o sentido de mudança da relação da própria comunidade com a natureza não humana, com ela própria e com o território. Portanto, essa abordagem procura trabalhar a educação ambiental com o olhar da relação transformadora pelo diálogo, pelo conhecimento, pela informação e troca de saberes, contribuindo com a organização, participação e autogestão do assentamento. Foram utilizados, como referência, a Carta da Terra e o Tratado de Educação Ambiental para Sociedades Sustentáveis e Responsabilidade Global, documentos importantes da ECO-92 ou Cúpula da Terra, que foi batizada de Fórum Global 92, promovido por entidades da sociedade civil. Esses documentos vêm com a afirmação de princípios éticos e valores fundamentais que orientam comunidades, escolas, países, culturas, raças e pessoas para o bem comum, através da sustentabilidade global, o que inclui justiça socioambiental e uma responsabilidade com o não esgotamento da natureza como bem infinito. Durante a pesquisa, foram percebidas diferenças de concepções das pessoas entrevistadas e que participaram do círculo de cultura no trato com a educação ambiental e as ações cotidianas com o meio ambiente, a partir das representações sociais sobre a educação ambiental numa percepção que transitava entre uma leitura globalizante e antropocêntrica. Essa diferença implica numa contradição própria da contemporaneidade.
