A física na prevenção dos acidentes de trânsito em uma abordagem com os alunos do 1º ano do ensino médio

Resumo: The number of accidents and fatalities in traffic increases every year, with higher rates of death among young drivers who may have passed recent high school. Thinking about this relevant social issue, a comic book called "Physics in Traffic: A Life-Saving Class" was developed, which relates the laws of physics and traffic laws created on the basis of the assumptions of Significant Learning Theory (TAS) by David Ausubel and in the pedagogical practice of Paulo Freire's pedagogy, for students in the 1st year of high school. The general objectives contemplate the importance of accident prevention by assimilating knowledge and behaviors that improve the coexistence in traffic through the laws of physics, stimulating the teaching-learning process by measures that promote a critical reflection and awareness focused on attitudes and responsibilities in traffic and respect for life. The preparation of the material was based on topics of physics as Relative Velocity, Newton's Laws, Friction Force, Linear Moment and Collisions, pertinent to the subjects contemplated in the series under study and with emphasis on the physical phenomena and everyday situations in traffic. After the application of the educational product the results show that the interest and motivation of the students are renewed, when a teaching practice is achieved along with new methodology through new tools and that instigate the creativity and student participation in the teaching-learning process

Pensando nessa questão social relevante, foi desenvolvido um gibi intitulado “Física no Trânsito: uma aula que salva vidas”, que relaciona as leis da física e as leis de trânsito criado com base nos pressupostos da Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa (TAS) de David Ausubel e na prática docente da pedagogia de Paulo Freire, para alunos do 1º ano do ensino médio. Os objetivos gerais contemplam a importância da prevenção de acidentes pela assimilação de conhecimentos e comportamentos que melhorem a convivência no trânsito através das leis da física, estimulando o processo ensino-aprendizagem por medidas que promovam uma reflexão crítica e conscientização voltada para atitudes e responsabilidades no trânsito e respeito à vida. A elaboração do material teve como base tópicos de física como Velocidade Relativa, Leis de Newton, Força de atrito, Momento Linear e Colisões, pertinentes aos assuntos contemplados na série em estudo e com ênfase nos fenômenos físicos e situações do cotidiano no trânsito. Após a aplicação do produto educacional os resultados mostram que o interesse e motivação dos alunos se renovam, quando se consegue uma prática docente junto com nova metodologia por meio de novas ferramentas e que instiguem a criatividade e a participação do aluno no processo de ensino- aprendizagem.
