Resumo: Throughout this work, we aim to highlight the importance of contingency process for the poetic production of Carlos Drummond de Andrade. We intend to investigate, through part of his work, that the restrictions imposed by him during the making poetry, are crucial to the result of his artistic creation. Moreover, they collaborate, directly, to the affirmation of its claim to tell the living from his poetry. As a methodological procedure, we start from three of his most famous poems, Confidentiality of Itabirano, Childhood and world feeling, as well as some statements of the poet himself, related to your making poetic, in order to highlight the lines introduced in drummondiana writing. This finds the impossibilities a privileged position because they are exactly the self restrictions imposed by the poet, giving it a huge range of possibilities to be said, to invent and, especially, to confess through his verses. The restrictions to which the poet undergoes over its creation process, are put in scene from some elements, such as: facts, situations, places and people. By recognizing life as a matter of poetry, according to the vision of Bakhtin (2010), the poet puts us, as readers, before a spirit work of concern and social values, as the poet as someone coated concern not only aesthetic, but also social and political. Thus, we observe that the perception of Drummond is sharpened by the prospect of looking he throws both inward and to the resulting capture outdoor scenes, since it catches the elements mentioned above, referring us to a work whose creating wire human life, with its virtues and evils. We base our work on Arrigucci (2002), Bakhtin (2010), Elster (2009), Longino (1996) and Moraes Neto (2010).

Tencionamos investigar, por meio de parte de sua obra, que as restrições impostas por ele, durante o fazer poético, são cruciais para o resultado de sua criação artística. Ademais, colaboram, de forma direta, para a afirmação de sua pretensão de dizer a vida a partir de sua poesia. Como procedimento metodológico, partimos de três de seus mais célebres poemas, Confidência do itabirano, Infância e Sentimento do mundo, bem como de algumas declarações do próprio poeta, relacionadas ao seu fazer poético, com o intuito de destacar as linhas instauradas na escrita drummondiana. Esta encontra nas impossibilidades uma situação privilegiada, pois são, exatamente, as autorrestrições, impostas pelo poeta, que lhe conferem uma enorme gama de possibilidades de dizer-se, inventar-se e, principalmente, confessar-se por intermédio de seus versos. As restrições às quais o poeta submete-se, ao longo de seu processo de criação, são colocadas em cena a partir de alguns elementos, tais como: fatos, situações, lugares e pessoas. Ao reconhecer a vida como matéria de poesia, de acordo com a visão de Bakhtin (2010), o poeta coloca-nos, enquanto leitores, diante de uma obra imbuída de preocupação e valoração social, à medida que apresenta o poeta como alguém revestido de inquietação não somente estética, mas também social e política. Desse modo, observamos que a percepção de Drummond é aguçada pela perspectiva do olhar que ele lança tanto para dentro de si quanto para a captura resultante de cenas externas, uma vez que flagra os elementos citados anteriormente, remetendo-nos a uma obra que tem como fio de criação a vida humana, com suas virtudes e mazelas.
