Resumo: | The work was divided into two parts: the first corresponds to the general approach to the subject studied and the second to the preparation of two articles. The general objective was to evaluate the potential of Cordia trichotoma progenies for vegetative propagation via mini-cutting. The research was carried out at the Forest Nursery of the Federal University of Lavras, in Lavras - MG. For the second part, two experiments were set up, the first of which (Article 1) assessed the establishment and productivity of a mini-seedling garden of four progenies (P04, P12, P28 and P33) of C. trichotoma, during four shoot collections carried out between June 2024 and September 2024. The second (Article 2) evaluated the propagation of C. trichotoma progenies via mini-stem cuttings in two shoot collections in the mini-garden during the months of August 2024 and September 2024, using apical and intermediate mini-cuttings. As the main results, in the mini-garden, the survival of the mini-stumpswas above 80% over the months of collection. The progenies showed greater production of apical mini-cuttings. There was an increase in the production of shoots per mini-stumps from August onwards. The productivity m-² month varied between the progenies and the month of collection. The average length of the shoots did not differ significantly between the progenies and the month of collection. In Article 2, the intermediate mini-cuttings showed the highest survival rates during all the collection months. As for rooting, the highest average values were achieved by progenies P04 and P28. September provided the best rooting percentages for progenies P04, P12 and P28. In terms of callus formation, August provided the highest percentages with intermediate mini-cuttings. In terms of sprouting, the intermediate mini-cuttings stood out with the highest percentages, and the month of September provided the highest average values. In general, the variables analyzed in both articles vary according to the progeny, type of mini-progeny and month of collection. For Article 1, it can be concluded that all the progenies, up to the fourth collection, maintained a high percentage of survival. Progenies P12, P28 and P33 have the highest productivity m-² month. For Article 2, it can be concluded that the progenies P04, P12 and P28, linked to the month of September, show the greatest potential for propagation via mini-cutting, especially when intermediate mini-cuttings are used. |

As progênies P12, P28 e P33 apresentam maior produtividadem-² mês.
