Resumo: This study aimed to identify the relevant aspects of teen job from literature review. Searches were conducted via the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Of the 321 papers were selected identified that 53 were available in full text in Portuguese e and / or English and / or Spanish and who had the title or abstract characterization of risks, determinants, consequences or described or related to work-related illnesses or adolescents work between audience, published between 1997 and 2012. All studies were analyzed from the card catalog adapted by Ribeiro (2009) and categorized determinants of work and lifestyle, risks at work, workloads and implications of work and public policy. Analyzed studies indicate that the socioeconomic conditions and cultural values affect and determine the approval and encouragement of adolescent labor by family and society, are trivialized the risks facing the determinants of work in this age group and public policies not cover the existing needs individuals in developing the foundation to reflective attitudes about the construction of a just and egalitarian society
