Resumo: This research investigates how reporter Ernesto Varelas statements shift the concept of journalistic objectivity. We seek to identify the modulations brought by these statements through a proposal of interaction crystallized by a unique and ideal model of journalism. By observing the dissonance between the promises of journalistic objectivity and what is actually delivered on the news, we try to grasp how Varelas newscasts act on the link between what is promised by the textual strategy of his statements and the actual production. From the stylistic demarcation found inside the concept of discourse genre, the analysis follows how Ernesto Varela shifts the canonical perspective of the television newscast style to explore, in the conclusion, the possible implicit critic contribution for a reconfiguration of the social subject through this discursive transcontextualization.
