Resumo: | Scientific literature study on Documentary Analysis (DA) in Brazil, focusing on the scope and community productivity concerned with the activity and research in AD, involving application of bibliometric techniques. Specific objectives: to identify the most productive authors; to check their links with educational institutions and research in Brazil; to locate authors and most cited work; to identify most productive periods and their authors; to know more types of cited documents; to know which were the languages of the cited works and identifying subjects and theories that supported the work in this area. The theoretical framework comprises matters related a Analysis Documentary, highlighting information processing, knowledge representation, relations with other disciplines and ICT information and communication technologies, terminology aspects involved process; It also presents a comparison between documentary analysis and subject analysis from of definitions found in the literature. About bibliometrics, this study highlights the citation analysis. The literature review presents a summary of previous research carried on in Brazil for the Documentary Analysis. It is an exploratory and descriptive research, which began with the literature of scientific production in Brazil related to the documentary analysis, in the sources chosen for this study, considering that they are important bases in the area of Library and Information Science: BRAPCI (Referential Database Journal Articles in Information Science); PERI Database of the School of Information Science of the Federal University of Minas Gerais ECI/UFMG; ENANCIB (National Meeting of Research in Information Science), 2013; papers presented at the ISKO (International Society for Knowledge Organization), 2013. The empirical materials were consisted of 108 works and their respective citations (2153 references). The categories of publications analysis were: producers authors, linked authors and chronological period of publication. For the citations analysis there were established as categories: cited authors, cited documents types, language, cited disciplines and theories and chronological periods. A database was assembled, using the Microsoft Office Excel Software. Charts and graphics were used for results interpretation. Among the results of this study, it was found that DA presents itself as a non-consolidated field, but in continuous development. Among the most cited authors and more produced work on the subject, there are still the authors of the Temma Group (from University of São Paulo, USP, Brazil). The presence of authors linked to Brazilian universities, especially of São Paulo, was very significant. The Documentary Analysis area presents a linear growth, and the period of 2000-2009 is the most significant in terms of productivity. Books, articles and book chapters stand out among the most cited materials. The most present language in the literature was the Portuguese. Disciplines / fields of studies that supported the domain theoretical contributions are: Discourse Analysis, Linguistics, Logic, Semiotics, Terminology, among others. This study also confirms the efficiency and potential of bibliometrics as a tool for the study of a subject, discipline or knowledge area, and power to contribute with the field of CI with more information about one of its activities. |
