Resumo: This dissertation – of a hybrid character – combines conceptual and analytical research around the letter-films with the creation of a documentary, entitled Minha amiga Gilza, strarring two shellfishwoman gatherers from Sergipe: Nice Dias (from Muculanduba village) and Gilsa Santos (from Robalo village). After characterizing the letter-films in the addressing mode – with support in the epistolar genre – and commenting on some of their main forms of manifestation, the work set out to create a letter-film guided by the figure of the filmmaker-writer. The dissertation also brings a memorial of the filming and editing processes of the film produced.
