The purpose of this dissertation is to read and discuss the work Árbol de Diana, by Alejandra Pizarnik, as well as the respective diaries that correspond to the years from 1960 to 1962. Published in 1962, the work that marks the poetic maturity of the Argentine writer, reveals central questions about modernity and modern poetry. From the reading of the poems, marked by brevity and fragmentation, the literary project built by Pizarnik will be discussed, which is crossed by issues of the time itself, such as immigration in Latin America, exile and the crisis of modern poetry. Faced with a poetics of silence present in these verses, as one of the fundamental traits of the pizarnikian project, entries and fragments of the diaries will be read, in a second moment, prepared and edited by the author herself to be published, in order to understand them while an expansion of Alejandra Pizarnik's poetic work.
