Resumo: The thesis presented here intends investigate the relationship between media and memory through an archive built along the time, having as main source illustrated magazines such as: O Cruzeiro and Manchete, as well as books and encyclopedias. The images are displaced from their original supports creating new interpretations and possible approximations between the past and the present. Therefore, the research was organized through a selection with series of images selected from a archive more extensive. These series of images and Works are connected to each other through their poetics, and even if they are described separately, they are part of the same archive. The connections drawn come from the universe of illustrated magazines, pioneers in the history of photojournalism in Brazil from 1928 onwards, containing in their pages a vast diversity of themes that require a critical look when transported to the present. I also evoke the photographic production present in this universe of illustrated magazines and their archives as a guide for personal artistic work through cataloging, investigation and multiple poetics interferences.

As imagens são deslocadas de seus suportes originais criando novas leituras e possíveis aproximações entre o passado e o presente. Para tanto, a pesquisa foi organizada através de uma seleção de séries de imagens selecionadas deste acervo mais extenso. Estas séries de imagens e de trabalhos estão conectados entre si através de suas poéticas e, mesmo que sejam descritas separadamente, fazem parte de um grande arquivo. As conexões traçadas partem do próprio universo das revistas ilustradas, pioneiras na história do fotojornalismo no Brasil a partir de 1928, contendo em suas páginas um vasto espaço de conteúdos e imagens que exigem um olhar crítico quando transportadas para os dias de hoje. Evoco também a produção fotográfica presente neste universo das revistas ilustradas e suas imagens como norteadoras para a produção artística pessoal que são realizadas por meio das múltiplas interferências poéticas.
