Resumo: This Dissertation is the result of my observations regarding the relationships developed by the followers of the Christian Spiritualist Doctrine called Vale do Amanhecer with a focus on the symbols of the Sun and the Moon. This is an ethnographic research of the relationships that, as we will see, are reflected in a form of social structuring and ritualistic and performative interaction, in addition to the expression itself in the architectural structure of the Jaçarã do Amanhecer Temple, located in the city of Várzea Grande-MT. . For that, I carry out field visits and maintain dialogues with some adepts and, mainly, I bring an extensive ethnography about the bibliographic collection of the Doctrine, which is composed of rites, symbols and cosmogonies, created and resignified by the materializer of Vale do Amanhecer, Tia Neiva , during his hierophanic trajectory, when he developed contacts with spiritual plans and mentors. In addition, I analyze the presence of these symbols in two rites, the so-called Work of Thrones and Evangelical Table. With the methodological care typical of Anthropology, I also make use of participatory observation to analyze the concepts and interpretations of the symbols of the sun and moon that appear prominent and loaded with meanings. Thus, the result is the visibility of a unique religious segment in the Brazilian context that reveals its cultural roots in Christianity, Spiritism and Umbanda.

Trata-se de uma pesquisa etnográfica das relações que, como veremos, se refletem em uma forma de estruturação social e de interação ritualística e performática, além da própria expressão na estrutura arquitetônica do Templo Jaçarã do Amanhecer, localizado na cidade de Várzea Grande-MT. Para tanto, realizo visitas em campo e mantenho dialogos com alguns adeptos e, principalmente, trago uma extensa etnografia sobre o acervo bibliográfico da Doutrina, que é composta por ritos, símbolos e cosmogonias, criados e ressignificados pela materializadora do Vale do Amanhecer, Tia Neiva, durante sua trajetória hierofânica, quando desenvolveu contatos com planos e mentores espirituais. Além disso, analiso a presença desses símbolos em dois ritos, os chamados Trabalho de Tronos e Mesa Evangélica. Com os cuidados metodológicos próprios da Antropologia, também lanço mão da observação participativa para analisar os conceitos e interpretações dos símbolos do sol e da lua que aparecem proeminentes e carregados de significados.
