Resumo: Introduction: Loneliness is defined as a painful and distressing event, being subjective and difficult for the elderly to express, and may be related to isolation. There is a relationship between negative feelings and isolation, bringing verbal and nonverbal signals to the elderly that express depressive and aggressive behaviors. Objectives: to know the scientific evidence on loneliness in the elderly; to identify the factors that influence loneliness in the elderly; to propose pedagogical workshops for the prevention of loneliness for the elderly. Methods: this is a methodological study, with a qualitative and descriptive approach to propose pedagogical workshops for the prevention of loneliness for the elderly. Developed in three stages: (1) scoping review, (2) field research, (3) construction of pedagogical workshops for the prevention of loneliness in the elderly. The sample consisted of 63 elderly people who attend the Paraibano Institute of Aging. The collected data constituted a corpus that was processed with the aid of the IRaMuTeQ® software. The research was approved by the Ethics and Research Committee under No. 6,525,134, CAAE: 74101023.0.0000.5188. Results and Discussion: in the scoping review, 10 articles were selected that identified the main causes that promote loneliness in elderly people, the highlights being: economic level, low education level, advanced age, lack of company, chronic diseases and loss of emotional ties. In addition, the factors of widowhood, absence of children, retirement and the transition to long-term care institutions can promote or aggravate loneliness. In the field research, content related to sadness, depression, isolation, anxiety, anguish and abandonment was observed. Based on these findings, a model of pedagogical workshops for the prevention of loneliness in elderly people was proposed. Final considerations: in this way, it was possible to identify that loneliness is an event with multifactorial aspects and that the presence of sadness and depression indicate a profound negative emotional state, while isolation and abandonment point to the lack of social connections and helplessness faced by the elderly. Anxiety and anguish, on the other hand, highlight the constant concern and emotional discomfort associated with loneliness. However, pedagogical workshops can be an intervention focused on consolidating social support networks, promoting and encouraging meaningful relationships, becoming a strategy with great potential for preventing loneliness in the elderly.

Existe una relación entre los sentimientos negativos y el aislamiento, dándole al anciano signos verbales y no verbales que expresan conductas depresivas y agresivas. Objetivos: comprender la evidencia científica sobre la soledad en personas mayores; identificar los factores que influyen en la soledad en las personas mayores; Proponemos talleres pedagógicos para prevenir la soledad en personas mayores. Métodos: se trata de un estudio metodológico, con enfoque cualitativo y descriptivo para proponer talleres pedagógicos sobre la prevención de la soledad para personas mayores. Desarrollado en tres etapas: (1) revisión de alcance, (2) investigación de campo, (3) construcción de talleres pedagógicos para prevenir la soledad en personas mayores. La muestra estuvo conformada por 63 personas mayores que asisten al Instituto Paraibano de Envelhecimento. Los datos recopilados constituyeron un corpus que fue procesado con la ayuda del software IRaMuTeQ®. La investigación fue aprobada por el Comité de Ética e Investigación bajo el nº 6.525.134, CAAE: 74101023.0.0000.5188. Resultados y Discusión: en la revisión de alcance se seleccionaron 10 artículos que identificaron las principales causas que promueven la soledad en las personas mayores, entre ellas: nivel económico, baja escolaridad, edad avanzada, falta de compañía, enfermedades crónicas y pérdida de vínculos afectivos. Además, los factores de viudez, falta de hijos, jubilación y transición a centros de cuidados a largo plazo pueden promover o empeorar la soledad. En la investigación de campo se observaron contenidos relacionados con tristeza, depresión, aislamiento, ansiedad, angustia y abandono. A raíz de estos hallazgos, se propuso un modelo de talleres pedagógicos para prevenir la soledad en personas mayores. Consideraciones finales: de esta manera, se pudo identificar que la soledad es un evento con aspectos multifactoriales y que la presencia de tristeza y depresión apuntan a un profundo estado emocional negativo, mientras que el aislamiento y el abandono apuntan a la falta de conexiones sociales y el desamparo enfrentado. por personas mayores. Métodos: trata-se de um estudo metodológico, de abordagem qualitativa e descritiva para propor oficinas pedagógicas na prevenção de solidão para pessoas idosas. Desenvolvido em três etapas: (1) revisão de scopo, (2) pesquisa de campo, (3) construção de oficinas pedagógicas para prevenção da Solidão em pessoas idosas. A amostra foi composta por 63 idosos que frequentam o Instituto Paraibano de Envelhecimento. Os dados coletados constituíram um corpus que foi processado com o auxílio do software IRaMuTeQ®. A pesquisa foi aprovada pelo Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa sob o nº 6.525.134, CAAE: 74101023.0.0000.5188. Resultados e Discussão: na revisão de scopo foram selecionados 10 artigos que identificaram as principais causas que promovem solidão em pessoas idosas, destacam-se: o nível econômico, baixa escolaridade, idade avançada, falta de companhia, doenças crônicas e a perda de laços afetivos. Além disso, os fatores viuvez, ausência de filhos, aposentadoria e a transição para instituições de longa permanência podem promover ou agravar a solidão. Na pesquisa de campo, observou-se conteúdos relacionados com tristeza, depressão, isolamento, ansiedade, angústia e abandono. Após estes achados foi proposto um modelo de oficinas pedagógicas para a prevenção da solidão em pessoas idosas. Considerações finais: desta forma, foi possível identificar que a solidão é um evento de aspectos multifatoriais e que a presença de tristeza e depressão apontam um profundo estado emocional negativo, enquanto o isolamento e o abandono apontam para a falta de conexões sociais e desamparo enfrentado pelos idosos. Já, a ansiedade e a angústia destacam a preocupação constante e o desconforto emocional associado à solidão.
