This work has been written based on the life stories of three workers of SUS (Unique health system). The methodology used was the theme oral story: one has used initially questions, to obtain enough information to elaborate the interview route. Then, with questions a present interview was carried out. the general aim was to understand ways of learning and create a commitment with the care, towards to emancipation of the other and the construction of a helpful society. For doing so, the educational courses of three workers were studied, recognized, primarily by a members of health and popular education system, as a reference of dedication and leadership, commitment with the emancipator care, the construction of a helpful world. The analysis were done based on the theoretical reference of popular education, this research allowed us to figure out and understand part of the educational courses of these three women. It´s possible to say that, not only the family played an important role in these women´s life stories, making them become what they are today, with their way of thinking and acting, but also the groups to which they belong, the social movements, the formal teaching system. All of the three women valued the utopias, the hope on the construction of a health system which is more humane, helpful, efficient and from that on, a world which is fair and helpful. It´s a critical hope, not the hope of keeping the arms crossed, as Freire says, they´re the ones who have constructed the cathedral which gives the title of this work.
