Resumo: This dissertation aims to present fiction cinema as an imaginary anthropological collection. Our object is the pernambuco cinema of director Kleber Mendonça Filho and his films Aquarius (2016) and O Som ao Redor (2012). Based on the discussions proposed by Gilbert Durand and Gaston Bachelard on symbolic imagination, poetic spaces and temporalities, we propose to investigate how cinema functions as a product of representation and construction of social reality, which produces codes, symbols, allegorical signs, myths and narratives. In this way, both the representation and the construction of social reality produce the imaginary in society. We discuss the imaginary city as the place of representations, the creation of imaginations and social narratives of spatial-temporal predominance. In this understanding, we cover a multidisciplinary perspective of socio-anthropological scope in order to interpret and analyze how the contemporary films that treat the city of Recife as a place of intense transformations related to the urban space develop speeches of the poetic spaces memorials everyday of the symbolic city and the house. In this sense, the dissertation is based on a theoretical research to undertake the cinema as an anthropological research possibility.

Nosso objeto é o cinema pernambucano do diretor Kleber Mendonça Filho e seus filmes Aquarius (2016) e O Som ao Redor (2012). Baseandose nas discussões propostas por Gilbert Durand e Gaston Bachelard sobre imaginação simbólica, espaços poéticos e temporalidades, propomos investigar como o cinema funciona como um produto de representação e construção da realidade social, que fabrica códigos, símbolos, signos alegóricos, mitos e narrativas. Desse modo, tanto a representação quanto a construção da realidade social produzem o imaginário na sociedade. Discutimos a cidade imaginária como o lugar das representações, de criação de imaginações e de narrativas sociais de predominância espaço-temporal. Nesse entendimento, abarcamos uma perspectiva multidisciplinar de envergadura socioantropológica afim de interpretar e analisar como os filmes contemporâneos que tratam a cidade do Recife como um lugar de intensas transformações relacionados ao espaço urbano desenvolvem discursos dos espaços poéticos memoriais cotidianos da cidade imaginária e da casa.
