Resumo: Our research, entiled From Dream to Reality: the sabugi reservoir (1958 -1966), has as problematic to understand how the sabugiense population received the construction of the sabugi reservoir, how this work was meant by the local population so for this analysis, we worked with the time frame from 1958 (the year in which the construction of the dike was requested) to 1966 (the year the dike was inaugurated). To answer this question, we will use a very heterogeneous documentar collection, covering diferente types: textual (letters, land assessments, newspapers, proxies, price tables for expropriation); iconographic (06 photographs related to the constrction of the reservoir) and audiovisual (vídeo of the inauguration of the Sabugi reservoir). In addition to these, was used oral sources. About the methodology and study of these sources, we catalog the sources, classifying them by themes and typologies; we cross the data found in the diferente sources; we produce tables and think about the historicity and production of the newspapers used in the research.

About the methodology and study of these sources, we catalog the sources, classifying them by themes and typologies; we cross the data found in the diferente sources; we produce tables and think about the historicity and production of the newspapers used in the research.A nossa pesquisa, intitulada DO SONHO À REALIDADE: O AÇUDE SABUGI (1958 – 1966), tem como problemática compreender como a população sabugiense recebeu a construção do açude Sabugi, como essa obra foi significada pela população local, então para essa análise, trabalhamos com o recorte temporal de 1958 (ano em que foi solicitada a construção do açude) a 1966 (ano que o açude foi inaugurado). Para respondermos a essa questão, utilizaremos um acervo documental bastante heterogêneo, que abarca diferentes tipologias: textuais (cartas, avaliações de terra, jornais, procurações, tabelas de preços para desapropriação); iconográficas (06 fotografias relacionadas à construção do açude) e audiovisuais (vídeo da inauguração do açude Sabugi). Além destas, utilizou-se a técnica da entrevista.
