A triangulação Libras-português-inglês: relatos de professores e intérpretes de Libras sobre aulas inclusivas de língua estrangeira

Resumo: | O tema ensino de uma língua estrangeira para surdos vem conquistando espaço nas pesquisas da Academia nas últimas décadas, com vistas a “quebrar cristais”, ou seja, desfazer crenças cristalizadas a respeito desse processo. Os resultados encontrados no mestrado, bem como aqueles apontados nas leituras realizadas, apontavam alguma relação entre as três línguas envolvidas na sala de aula de inglês frequentada por alunos surdos. A partir daí, surgiu o interesse na pesquisa de Doutorado com o objetivo de analisar o efeito de práticas pedagógicas empregadas e interações em aulas de língua inglesa mediadas por Libras/Português, nos Ensinos Fundamental e Médio, a partir dos relatos de tradutores e intérpretes e de professores bilíngues ou não. O trabalho se desenvolveu em uma perspectiva bilinguista. Entendemos que o bilinguismo se refere ao repertório de línguas que muitos indivíduos podem usar, assim, envolvendo a primeira língua (L1), a segunda (L2) e a terceira (L3), que é estrangeira (LE); no caso dessa tese, as línguas são, respectivamente, Libras, português e inglês. Para alcançar nosso objetivo, buscamo-nos fundamentar em Grosjean, Moraes, Pagura, Paiva, Sousa, Vygotsky, entre outros. A metodologia empregada foi a qualitativa de caráter descritivo-observacional, com o intuito de melhor descrever, compreender e explicar as características da dinâmica de sala de aula de inglês. Conforme orientações de Triviños, a triangulação de dados sugerida pelo autor pode ser identificada quando recorremos à análise de documentos que orientam o trabalho pedagógico com surdos, a entrevistas semiestruturadas, e à observação de ações e interações dos sujeitos da pesquisa. Os dados foram analisados utilizando a análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Os resultados apontam para o fato de que pouco se ensina do inglês para todos os alunos, surdos ou ouvintes, e que aqueles parecem ficar ainda mais à margem do conhecimento na sala de aula de língua estrangeira. Esperamos, com esta tese, contribuir para as discussões acerca da qualidade do ensino de LE para surdos, mobilizando os professores para ampliarem suas propostas teórico-metodológicas diante dessa língua. |

O tema ensino de uma língua estrangeira para surdos vem conquistando espaço nas pesquisas da Academia nas últimas décadas, com vistas a “quebrar cristais”, ou seja, desfazer crenças cristalizadas a respeito desse processo. Os resultados encontrados no mestrado, bem como aqueles apontados nas leituras realizadas, apontavam alguma relação entre as três línguas envolvidas na sala de aula de inglês frequentada por alunos surdos. A partir daí, surgiu o interesse na pesquisa de Doutorado com o objetivo de analisar o efeito de práticas pedagógicas empregadas e interações em aulas de língua inglesa mediadas por Libras/Português, nos Ensinos Fundamental e Médio, a partir dos relatos de tradutores e intérpretes e de professores bilíngues ou não. O trabalho se desenvolveu em uma perspectiva bilinguista. Entendemos que o bilinguismo se refere ao repertório de línguas que muitos indivíduos podem usar, assim, envolvendo a primeira língua (L1), a segunda (L2) e a terceira (L3), que é estrangeira (LE); no caso dessa tese, as línguas são, respectivamente, Libras, português e inglês. Para alcançar nosso objetivo, buscamo-nos fundamentar em Grosjean, Moraes, Pagura, Paiva, Sousa, Vygotsky, entre outros. A metodologia empregada foi a qualitativa de caráter descritivo-observacional, com o intuito de melhor descrever, compreender e explicar as características da dinâmica de sala de aula de inglês. Conforme orientações de Triviños, a triangulação de dados sugerida pelo autor pode ser identificada quando recorremos à análise de documentos que orientam o trabalho pedagógico com surdos, a entrevistas semiestruturadas, e à observação de ações e interações dos sujeitos da pesquisa. Os dados foram analisados utilizando a análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Os resultados apontam para o fato de que pouco se ensina do inglês para todos os alunos, surdos ou ouvintes, e que aqueles parecem ficar ainda mais à margem do conhecimento na sala de aula de língua estrangeira. Esperamos, com esta tese, contribuir para as discussões acerca da qualidade do ensino de LE para surdos, mobilizando os professores para ampliarem suas propostas teórico-metodológicas diante dessa língua. |
