Resumo: | The abusive and dependent use of licit and illicit drugs is one of the main public health problems in today's society and its relevance raises several concerns, considering the plurality of problems brought not only to users, but also to their relatives and society. Two studies were carried out to investigate violence and its relationship with family, society and the use of drugs. The first study was carried out according to the perception of 12 internal chemical dependents being treated in a therapeutic community in Minas Gerais. And the second study was carried out according to the perception of nine relatives of the inmates. Both studies were qualitative research. A semi-structured interview script was used for each study for data collection. The data were treated by the Bardin content analysis and interpreted according to the systemic family theory and the literature on the area of drug dependence, family and violence. From the analysis of the first study, four categories emerged: 1 - living with alcoholism and family violence in childhood, in which the inmates lived with at least one alcohol and / or other drug user within the family, claiming to have suffered several types of violence in childhood; 2- violence inflicted by the inmate before the use of drugs, was mainly robberies and thefts, the interpersonal violence in the community; 3 - violence inflicted by the inmate after the use of drugs, occurred directed to itself (self-aggression), to relatives and to society (interpersonal); 4 - violence suffered after the use of drugs, in which they reported discrimination, aggression and / or prosecution of police officers. The analysis of the data of the second study produced three categories: 1- violence suffered by the inmate before the use of alcohol and other drugs, in which the relatives reported the physical, psychological, sexual violence and neglect suffered by inmates in childhood; 2 - violence inflicted by the inmate during the use of alcohol and other drugs, in which they described physical and psychological aggressions of inmates directed to the family and to society; 3- violence suffered during the use of alcohol and other drugs, which interviewees pointed to the physical violence of family members, police officers and drug trafficking, as well as discrimination against people. Based on the data of the two studies, we discuss the experience of different types of violence in childhood and adolescence, associated with living with psychoactive substance abuse by close relatives, which probably contributed to the drug dependence and violent behaviors of the inmate. Poverty and social vulnerability are also influential, as is the violence of drug trafficking and the police. These studies lead to a reflection on the transgenerationality of both psychoactive drug use and violence, which needs to be discontinued for effective treatment and prevention for the next generations. There is also a need to improve police and professional strategies to address the problem, such as the involvement of families in treatment. |

Foram realizados dois estudos que tiveram como objetivo investigar a violência e sua relação com a família, sociedade e o uso de drogas. O primeiro estudo foi realizado segundo a percepção de 12 dependentes químicos, internos em tratamento em uma comunidade terapêutica em Minas Gerais. E o segundo estudo, foi realizado segundo a percepção de nove familiares dos internos. Ambos os estudos foram pesquisas qualitativas. Foi utilizado um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturado para cada estudo, para coleta de dados. Os dados foram tratados pela análise de conteúdo de Bardin e interpretados segundo a teoria familiar sistêmica e a literatura da área de dependência química, família e violência. A partir da análise do primeiro estudo, emergiram quatro categorias: 1- convivendo com alcoolismo e violência familiar na infância, em que os internos conviveram com pelo menos um usuário de álcool e/ou outras drogas dentro da família, declarando ter sofrido vários tipos de violência na infância; 2- violência infligida pelo interno antes do uso de drogas, constituiu-se principalmente por roubos e furtos, a violência interpessoal na comunidade; 3- violência infligida pelo interno após o uso de drogas, ocorreu direcionada a si mesmo (autoagressão), a familiares e à sociedade (interpessoal); 4- violência sofrida após o uso de drogas, em que relataram discriminações, agressão e/ou perseguição de policiais. A análise dos dados do segundo estudo produziu três categorias: 1-violência sofrida pelo interno antes do uso de álcool e outras drogas, em que os familiares relataram as violências física, psicológica, sexual e negligência sofrida pelos internos na infância; 2- violência infligida pelo interno durante o uso de álcool e outras drogas, em que descreveram agressões físicas e psicológicas dos internos dirigidas à família e à sociedade; 3- violência sofrida pelo interno durante o uso de álcool e outras drogas, o qual os entrevistados apontaram a violência física de familiares, dos policiais e do tráfico de drogas, assim como a discriminação das pessoas. A partir dos dados dos dois estudos, discute-se a vivência de diferentes tipos de violência na infância e adolescência, associadas a convivência com o abuso de substâncias psicoativas por parte de familiares próximos, que provavelmente contribuíram para a dependência química e comportamentos violentos do interno. A pobreza e vulnerabilidade social também influenciam, assim como a violência do tráfico de drogas e da polícia. Esses estudos levam a refletir sobre a transgeracionalidade existente tanto em relação ao uso de drogas psicoativas, quanto em relação à violência, que precisa ser interrompida para eficácia do tratamento e prevenção para as próximas gerações. Também há necessidade de se aprimorar as estratégias policiais e dos profissionais para o enfrentamento do problema, como o envolvimento das famílias no tratamento.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superiorapplication/pdfhttp://bdtd.uftm.edu.br/retrieve/2985/Dissert%20Maria%20C%20F%20G%20Barboza.pdf.jpgporUniversidade Federal do Triângulo MineiroPrograma de Pós-Graduação em PsicologiaUFTMBrasilPró-Reitoria de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduaçãohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessViolência.Transtornos relacionados ao uso de substâncias.Usuários de drogas.Relações familiares.Violence.Substance-related disorders.Drug users.Family relationships.PsicologiaViolência sofrida e violência infligida por dependentes químicos: uma transmissão transgeracionalinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da UFTMinstname:Universidade Federal do Triangulo Mineiro (UFTM)instacron:UFTMLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
