Context: Burnout Syndrome is a form of psychic disorder responsible for triggering problems that affect people's physical and mental health. It has as a determining cause the excess of work, affecting professionals whose daily activities involve high levels of pressure, emotional exhaustion, responsibility and long working hours. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the occurrence of Burnout cases in Brazilian Nursing Professionals who worked on the front line in the care of patients affected by Covid-19. Method: This study was carried out through an Integrative Literature Review, using publications from the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and LILACS, BDENF, MEDLINE and Scielo platforms. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a sample of 24 articles was used. Conclusion: The results of studies on Nursing Professionals who are on the front lines in the fight against Covid-19 included in this review pointed to problems related to increased levels of anxiety, depression, isolation behavior, fear of job loss, fear error in the practice of their activity. As a triggering factor, distance from the family, long working hours and fear of death were highlighted. The context evidenced by this study points to the urgent need to implement improvements in the management system, monitoring of Nursing Professionals as well as acquiring measures to protect the physical and psychological health of this group of workers.
