In this thesis were described five new species of Nemobiinae crickets, tested the usefulness of the proventriculus morphology as a taxonomic character, and suggested a hypothesis of phylogenetic relationship to wingless cricket genera occurring in Brazil. The results were organized in three papers, as follow: (i) hypothesis of phylogenetic relationships among Amanayara De Mello & Jacomini, 1994, Phoremia Desutter-Grancolas, 1993 and Zucchiella De Mello, 1990, as well as between their species. The analysis included 11 species with two outgroups and 38 morphological characters, resulting in a single cladogram: (A. jutinga (A. piuna (A. helenae (A. ribasi + A. bernardesi))))) (P. circumcincta (P. rolfsi (P. nigrofasciata + P. zefai) (Z. atlantica + Z. matiottiae))))). Furthermore, a comparative analysis of proventriculus morphology and preliminary discussion about their biogeographic distributions are provided; (ii) three new species are described for Hygronemobius Hebard, 1913 being Hygronemobius indaia sp. n., Hygronemobius iperoigae sp. n. and Hygronemobius guriri sp. n. Photographs of types and of male genitalia, and discuss the morphology of male genitalia, taxonomy, calling songs and biogeographic distribution of the genus are provided; (iii) one new species of Argizala Walker, 1869 and another of Eunemobius Hebard, 1913 are described, being Argizala charrua sp. n. e Eunemobius minuano sp. n.. Photographs of types and male genitalia are provided with a discussion about diagnostic characters for these genera.
