Resumo: The study of metallic complexes for therapeutic purposes has been growing steadily in recent years due to the elucidation of their mechanisms of human body action and interaction with biomolecules. Several advances in compounds characterization techniques and molecular modeling have provided a significant increase of research related to this subject. This work aimed to the synthesis and characterization of new complexes of copper (II), nickel (II) and palladium (II) with the ligands hydroxybenzophenone, and the evaluation of their anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and anti-tumor activities. The first step was the synthesis of complex planning, starting from two synthetic hydroxybenzophenone (ligands), the 2-hydroxybenzophenone and 2,2 '-dihydroxybenzophenone, and three metals, copper (II), nickel (II) and palladium (II). The products of the reactions were characterized by vibrational spectroscopy in the infrared and elemental analysis. The structures of the complexes were determined unambiguously by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Finally, the antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activities of the compounds were tested showing promising results for the complex trans-bis(2,2'- hydroxybenzophenonate-O,O')copper (II), which has potential anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial.

O avanço nas técnicas de caracterização de compostos e modelagem molecular tem proporcionado de forma significativa o aumento de pesquisas relacionadas a este assunto. Esse trabalho teve como objetivo a síntese e a caracterização de novos complexos de cobre (II), níquel (II) e paládio (II), tendo como ligantes hidroxibenzofenonas e a avaliação de suas atividades anti-inflamatória, anti-tumoral e antimicrobiana. A primeira estratégia do projeto foi o planejamento de síntese dos complexos, partindo de duas hidroxibenzofenonas sintéticas (ligantes), a 2-hidroxibenzofenona e a 2,2´-di-hidroxibenzofenona, e três metais, cobre (II), níquel (II) e paládio (II). Os produtos das reações foram caracterizados por espectroscopia vibracional na região do infravermelho e análise elementar. As estruturas dos complexos foram inambiguamente determinadas por meio de difração de raios X de monocristal. Finalmente, a atividade anti-microbiana e anti-inflamatória dos complexos foram testadas mostrando resultados promissores para o complexo trans-bis-(2,2’-hidroxibenzofenonato-O,O’)cobre(II), o qual possui elevado potencial anti-inflamatório anti-microbiano.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESapplication/pdfporUniversidade Federal de AlfenasPrograma de Pós-Graduação em QuímicaUNIFAL-MGBrasilInstituto de Químicainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/PaládioCobreNíquelDifração de Raios XQUIMICA::FISICO-QUIMICASíntese, cristaloquímica e atividade biológica de complexos de paládio (II), cobre (II) e níquel (II) com benzofenonas hidroxiladasinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion1328253078826782306600600600-67940694632270714842075167498588264571reponame:Repositório Institucional da Universidade Federal de Alfenas - RiUnifalinstname:Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL)instacron:UNIFALRosa, Iara Maria LandreLICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
