Conceito e contexto: três, habitações sociais em Heliópolis entre 2013 e 2017

Contemporary architecture has turned to new philosophical matrixes, moving away from aesthetic objectivity and rigid theoretical bodies. There are no more stable hierarchical elements for a design; everything is a matter of interpretation; the dialogue between what is given and what is conceived; the fusion between the concept and the context of a project. Despite the wide variation in results, the thesis starts from the proposition that the association between the two elements occurs in three basic relationships, called: potentiality, correspondence and confrontation. The disposition of the proposed triad is put to the test by examining the link between the urban tissue and the social housings Jardim São Caetano, Gleba H and Conjunto Habitacional Heliópolis, built in Heliópolis between 2013 and 2017, designed by Ruy Ohtake, Vigliecca and Associados and Biselli and Katchborian respectively. The analytical procedure of the samples consisted of the following steps: identifying the conceptual axis; decompose the whole into parts; breaking down the established links, and; determine which relationships were adopted by the authors. After the application of methodological instruments, it was possible to identify the different scales of values attributed, demonstrating a plural and not dogmatic perspective of conceptual elaboration. The decomposition and confrontation method confirmed the existing cohesion between the theoretical genealogies constructed by the authors and the design strategies adopted, showing the intrinsic relationship between the architect's perspective and the formal condensation of the work.
