Resumo: This document investigates the role of Financial Literacy and Digital Financial Literacy in promoting Financial Well-Being within the context of Industry 5.0. Anchored in Financial Literacy Theory, the study integrates perspectives from behavioral finance, digital transformation, and sustainable development to examine how technological and educational initiatives strengthen individual’s financial capabilities. The research is structured into four interrelated articles. The first article applies bibliometric analysis and science mapping to 5,292 publications from the Web of Science, revealing the evolution of financial literacy research from theoretical foundations to applied empirical studies and identifying emerging research trends. The second article conducts a systematic literature review of 73 studies using structural equation modeling to explore the relationship between financial literacy and sustainable development, highlighting the positive effects of financial behavior, attitudes, and knowledge on financial well-being, particularly among vulnerable populations. The third article empirically tests a conceptual model through structural equation modeling using survey data from 334 workers in developed and emerging economies, demonstrating that Technological Literacy and Educational Development significantly enhance Digital Financial Literacy, which in turn positively impacts Financial Well-Being. The fourth article applies Ordinary Least Squares regression to validate these findings, reinforcing the role of organizational benefits, financial knowledge, and digital skills in improving worker’s financial well-being. The findings confirm that Industry 5.0 plays a differential and strategic role in strengthening financial literacy, reducing financial vulnerability, and fostering sustainable individual and social development. The thesis contributes theoretically by integrating financial literacy with digital and sustainability frameworks and offers practical implications for policymakers, educational institutions, and organizations seeking to promote inclusive financial well-being.
