The eurocentric domination driven by the articulations of coloniality/modernity configured racial opressions of gender, class and ethnicity, which operates in the erasing of knowledge produced by the subjugated individuals and in these individuals absence within the validated knowledge narratives, the power spaces as well as the cultural, social and political shaping in Brazil and Latin America. The introduction of the plurality in brazillian feminisms, along with the enunciation of the fundamental contribuition of black brazillian feminism place the cordéis from the Heroínas Negras Brasileiras collection, written by Jarid Arraes, as black feminist literary productions that achieve the visibility and recognition of the experiences lived by black brazillian women. The epistelmological apparatus of decolonial feminisms craves for processes of decolonization of knowledge, specially when rescuing and highlighting the life trajectories togheter with resistance articulations launched by black and indigenous women in the fight against the colonial opressions. The fifteen cordéis in the collection are analyzed from the interchange of concepts developed by Lélia Gonzalez (1988), María Lugones (2014) and Patricia Hill Collins (2019), intellectuals aligned with decolonial feminisms that understand racism and sexism as central operators of the modern gender colonial system. Arraes mobilizes the cordel as a political tool, displaying the practices of resistence built by the “amefrican” subjulgated individuals (GONZALEZ, 1989), distinct narratives and understandings, as well as the construction of new perspectives for the production of non-hegemonic knowledge. The introduction of a panomarama regarding cordel literature indentifies this literary genre within its dynamics of renovation and permanence, in the fluidity of flyers accompanying the social and cultural transformations that happened during the XX century, considered in Arraes investigation of cordéis, in relation to content, choices and approach adopted by the cordelista. The collection of flyers and the release of them in book form, first by publisher Pólen in 2017 followed by publisher Seguinte in 2020, reach significance in the brazillian literary field, which currently holds titles from black authors that encourage the discussion and detection of racist practices and possibilitate the stabablishment of cross-cutting political projects (COLLINS, 2019) as well as non-hegemonic knowledge.
