The central theme of our research are the interactions of Pentecostals with social and environmental issues. Therefore, it is the study of the degree of involvement of Pentecostals with environmental policies and the environment in the urban periphery - Rio Grande da Serra - Greater ABC Paulista. The intense presence of Pentecostals in the more peripheral areas of the city allowed us to inquire about the relationships we have with these urban expansion in the areas to be protected, with the environmental impacts, consumption and post-consumption in the region, the participation of public policies as well as his speeches and religious practices interfere with the behavior of the religious front of all these issues, since the city is included in Protected Area and Watershed Recovery, imbricated in one of the most threatened terrestrial biomes of extinction - the Biome the Atlantic Forest. The methodological procedures we employ the empirical observations, record of environmental aspects and impacts and the application forms and interviews with semi-structured, elements that will constitute an analytical instrumental triad. We conclude that the Pentecostals although active in social issues, however, are not on environmental issues in the city, therefore, do not participate more effectively in environmental public policy. However, Pentecostals demonstrate a capability to participate in the participatory urban planning and urban management processes in the medium and long term, since wich be stimulated, thus striving for the protection, defense and environmental justice in these areas of environmental vulnerability
