In this dissertation I propose to deal with the relationship between the existence of a Corporate University in organizations and their performance. I distributed, over five chapters, three distinct and connected studies that I developed for this thesis, each one with its method, its theoretical framework and its discussion and contribution section. In the first study, I investigated what has been studied about Corporate Universities in the last 30 years and sought to highlight, by means of a bibliometric work, the most cited, cocited and bibliographically coupled works to support the direction of the development of the variables that were used in the other studies. The second study is a work of creation and validation of a seven-point Likert measurement scale on Corporate Universities with variables to measure competitive advantage and performance of organizations. In the third and last study, I applied the final scale named Corporate University Strategic Role (CUSR) and highlighted the relationships between the Corporate University and the impact on the performance of organizations. Finally, this dissertation contributes to the understanding of the fundamental strategic role of Corporate Universities in relation to the competitive advantage and the performance of organizations.
