Inclusão social e esporte: os significados-sentidos da capoeira para adolescentes em situação de pobreza

Resumo: The interest regarding the subject has evolved from the researcher s experience in community-related jobs focused towards adolescents. This study s relevance is justified due to the contribution of knowledge to the scientific branches that run along with the adopted theoretical perspective added to the praxis of policies for social inclusion aimed to the youth who dwells in poverty. The objective was to verify the meanings and senses attributed by interviewed adolescents, regarding Capoeira as a sports activity related to social inclusion. Therefore, the social-historical Psychology theoretical assumptions, qualitative approach methodology and the building of signifying nuclei for the apprehension of the investigated sense-meanings constitution from testimonies were used. The yielded results revealed that the meanings of social inclusion are not quite clear to the adolescents. The senses attributed by them to the capoeira are more directed towards alternatives to their life s conditions, for instance, the need to leave the streets, idleness, and family/ home problems

A relevância da pesquisa justifica-se pela contribuição de conhecimentos para as vertentes científicas que se aproximam da perspectiva teórica adotada e para a práxis de políticas de inclusão social voltadas para jovens em situação de pobreza. O objetivo consistiu em verificar os significados e os sentidos que os adolescentes entrevistados atribuem à Capoeira como atividade esportiva voltada para a sua inclusão social. Para tanto, foram utilizados os pressupostos teóricos da Psicologia sócio-histórica, a metodologia de abordagem qualitativa e a construção de núcleos de significação para a apreensão da constituição dos sentidos-significados investigados nos depoimentos. Os resultados obtidos revelaram que os aspectos de inclusão social não estão muito claros para os adolescentes.
