Resumo: | The study addresses the changes brought about by Information Technology and Communication - ICTs - and their impact on labor relations, employment, work and life of computer programmers. Working relationships have changed and allowed developers to better conditions of trade, they began to play a role in organizations. The specifics of their skills and expertise have allowed new positions in front of employers. The formal employment, with a formal contract, tends to decrease according to the characteristics of the programmer's job. Working on projects started to be interesting for both the employee and the employer. Outsourcing has also contributed to this type of employment contract. Charges relating to social security, which are not paid by companies in the outsourcing process should be observed by the class of programmers. The collaborative networks provide developers new ways of working, they allow them to provide services without the intermediation of business and thus can become independent professionally. ICTs usually play the role of rationalizing the work and divide, causing the proletarianization of the factory workers and professional offices. Programmers, if not follow the trends of ICTs and let yourself be enveloped by them, can also be labeled as proletarianized and white-collar workers "cyber". The workload is too much for developers, free time is reduced and the possibilities to work on personal projects are compromised |

As relações de trabalho mudaram e permitiram aos programadores maiores condições de negociação, eles passaram a desempenhar um papel nas organizações. As especificidades de suas habilidades e competências permitiram novos posicionamentos diante dos empregadores. O emprego formal, com carteira assinada, tende a diminuir em função das características do trabalho do programador. Trabalhar por projetos passou a ser interessante tanto para o empregado como para o empregador. A terceirização também contribuiu para essa modalidade de contrato de trabalho. Os encargos relacionados à seguridade social, que não são pagos pelas empresas no processo de terceirização, devem ser observados pela classe de programadores. As redes colaborativas propiciam aos programadores novas formas de trabalho, pois permitem que eles prestem serviços sem a intermediação das empresas e, desse modo, podem tornar-se independentes profissionalmente. As TICs, normalmente, desempenham o papel de racionalizar e dividir o trabalho, provocando a proletarização dos operários das fábricas e dos profissionais dos escritórios. Os programadores, se não acompanharem as tendências das TICs e deixarem-se envolver por elas, também podem ser proletarizados e rotulados como proletários do colarinho branco cibernético .
