Resumo: The process of rehabilitation for a physical disability depends on beliefs, values and expectations that each one has in relation to oneself, which permeates the senses of health, Life and your place in the world, factors directly influenced by hegemonic social ideals. The present research had the objective of investigating the meanings of health, rehabilitation and old age in a group of amputated women in the aging process through the qualitative approach of group interview with intervention through the confection of blocks in fabrics and patchwork technique. We were able to approach the experience of those who experience old age living in an amputated body, problematizing hegemonic social conceptions about health in old age and the singularity and creativity present in the different modes of human existence. We verified that the participants incorporate for themselves prejudices contained in the ideals of health and old age that are in keeping with the current social models. We have also been able to observe several resistance responses of deviant bodies that live health that is beyond the logic of productivity and efficiency, and uses disease and suffering to increase Life force

A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo investigar os significados de saúde, reabilitação e velhice em um grupo de mulheres amputadas em processo de envelhecimento, pela abordagem qualitativa de entrevista em grupo com intervenção por meio da confecção de blocos em tecidos e técnica de patchwork. Foi possível nos aproximar da experiência de quem vivencia a velhice habitando um corpo amputado, problematizando as concepções sociais hegemônicas sobre saúde na velhice, na singularidade e criatividade presentes nos diferentes modos da existência humana. Verificamos que as participantes incorporam preconceitos contidos nos ideais de saúde e velhice condizentes com os modelos sociais vigentes.
