Resumo: | In this thesis, the contribution of the Social Service professional in the experience of social work with the Associação dos Trabalhadores Sem Teto da Zona Noroeste (ATSTZN) in the project of Housing of Social Interest, Alexios Jafet, both in the city of São Paulo, is presented, carried out through self-management in housing production. The objective is to analyze the experiences; the meaning of collective sociability and how this sociability is constituted in the experiences of the work of the social worker with the families of the Movement. For the study we chose to use the nomenclature "Movimento Noroeste" adopted by the participants in the Movement. This is one of the oldest housing movements in the country and brings a diversity of elements and wealth that can contribute to the historical recovery of the urban issue in Brazil. The Movement works through self-management in housing production with mechanisms for popular participation and the organization of workers in the fight for rights and social changes. In this context, there are social workers who, in addition to composing the history of social struggles, are pioneers in social work in HIS. The study starts from recognizing the trajectory of these participants in the context of urban and housing policies and the achievements of housing movements, with the hypothesis that the social work performed by professionals working in the Alexios Jafet project, contributes to the collective sociability of workers. The methodology is Oral History, which makes it possible to identify elements in the life history of an individual that are related to the history of society. The research is based on studies from a critical Marxist perspective, involving scientific procedures: bibliographic, documentary and qualitative research, with participants, adults and children, at ATSTZN, future residents in the HIS project, Alexios Jafet. It also comprises the procedures, the observation of activities, materials and photographic records. The results indicate that the participants and professionals have a common political identity, guided by urban reform, the right to the city, the struggle for quality housing, and with social participation; they also present tensions, conflicts and different points of view, among these political subjects, who make a difference in the public scene and, mainly, that the social service professional has an important role for collective sociability, in strengthening housing movements and in raising awareness of groups that work towards the goal of social transformation and the promotion of social control in housing production, through self-management |
