Resumo: | In Brazil, the collection and collection of recyclable materials occurs mostly through the action of collectors and recyclers. Often occupying a precarious role in the workforce under capitalism, the participation of this front line in the recycling process created the need to organize themselves in order to provide an effective management of solid waste in cities. The large amount of waste generated and discarded, linked to the current economic model, disregards many of the social asymmetries that develop within the relationships of those who work with disposal; naturalizes cultural issues that go through not only the disposal of garbage and / or waste, but also the subjects who operate in this process; and the perceived ecological quality is alien to it, becoming one of the great challenges of contemporary times. The methodology used in this work seeks to understand the transformational relationships between waste pickers and recyclers and the donation of recyclable waste through ethnographic field research, accompanied by documentary analysis on the association called ACREPOM and an interpretation in the light of data construction in the face of context of dynamics that permeate micro work relations with the materiality of residual objects, with the dominant macro situations of society, history and culture, as well as their values. In addition to having fragments of the interviews and participant observation, which are present throughout the text with other research techniques suitable to current ethnography, the theory of value in Karl Marx supported much of the critical reflection on the data constructed and interpreted. The data obtained by anthropological bias, allow the understanding of the relationships between subjects and objects, humans and waste, within the concepts of development, sustainability and associativism, pointing out the intimate relationship between collectors / recyclers and recyclable materials. Understanding a dialectical vision between production-consumption-disposal, ACREPOM's creation and organization processes are highlighted, as well as its challenges for its maintenance and strengthening. I understand the need for this category to be more and more organized, in order to effectively manage urban solid waste and political-economic confrontations |

The data obtained by anthropological bias, allow the understanding of the relationships between subjects and objects, humans and waste, within the concepts of development, sustainability and associativism, pointing out the intimate relationship between collectors / recyclers and recyclable materials. Understanding a dialectical vision between production-consumption-disposal, ACREPOM's creation and organization processes are highlighted, as well as its challenges for its maintenance and strengthening. I understand the need for this category to be more and more organized, in order to effectively manage urban solid waste and political-economic confrontationsNo Brasil a coleta e catação de matérias recicláveis ocorrem em sua maioria através da ação de catadores e recicladores. Ocupando muitas vezes um papel de precariedade na força de trabalho no capitalismo, a participação dessa linha de frente no processo da reciclagem fez com criasse a necessidade de se organizarem a fim de propiciar uma efetiva gestão dos resíduos sólidos nas cidades. A grande quantidade de resíduos gerados e descartados, atrelado ao modelo econômico vigente, desconsidera muitos das assimetrias sociais que se desenvolvem no interior das relações dos que trabalham com o descarte; naturaliza questões culturais que atravessam não só o descarte de lixo e/ou resíduos, mas também os sujeitos que operam neste processo; e é alheio a qualidade ecológica percebida, vindo a constituir-se em um dos grandes desafios da contemporaneidade. A metodologia utilizada neste trabalho procura entender as relações de transformações entre associados catadores e recicladores e a doação de resíduos recicláveis através da pesquisa de campo etnográfico, acompanhado de analise documental sobre a associação chamada ACREPOM e uma intepretação a luz da construção de dados diante de um contexto de dinâmicas que perpassam as micro relações de trabalho com a materialidade dos objetos residuais, com as macro situações dominantes da sociedade, história e cultura, assim como seus valores. Além de contar com fragmentos das entrevistas e observação participante, que estão presentes no decorrer do texto com demais técnicas de pesquisas convenientes a etnografia atual, a teoria do valor em Karl Marx subsidiou boa parte da reflexão crítica sobre os dados construídos e interpretados. Os dados obtidos pelo viés antropológico, permitem o entendimento das relações entre sujeitos e objetos, humanos e resíduos, dentro dos conceitos de desenvolvimento, sustentabilidade e associativismo apontando a íntima relação entre catadores/recicladores e materiais recicláveis. Compreendendo uma visão dialética entre produção-consumo-descarte, são evidenciados os processos de criação e organização da ACREPOM, e os seus desafios para a sua manutenção e fortalecimento. Entendo a necessidade de que esta categoria esteja cada vem mais organizada, a fim de uma efetiva gestão dos resíduos sólidos urbanos e dos enfrentamentos político-econômicoConselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPqapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/53924/Andr%c3%a9%20Luiz%20Alves%20Bonif%c3%a1cio.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Ciências SociaisPUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de Ciências SociaisReaproveitamento (Sobras, refugos, etc.)Cooperativas de reciclagemAssociação dos Catadores de Papel, Papelão e Materiais Recicláveis de AraçatubaResíduos recicláveisRecycling (Waste, etc.)Recycling cooperativesRecyclable materialsCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS“A coleta que transforma”: uma etnografia dos beneficiamentos de resíduos recicláveis na Associação dos Catadores de Papel, Papelão e Materiais Recicláveis (ACREPOM), de Araçatuba/SP“The Collection that transforms”: an Ethnography of the processing of recyclable waste in the Association of Collectors of Paper, Cardboard and Recyclable Materials (ACREPOM), from Araçatuba / SPinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTAndré Luiz Alves Bonifácio.pdf.txtAndré Luiz Alves Bonifácio.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain486301https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/23698/5/Andr%c3%a9%20Luiz%20Alves%20Bonif%c3%a1cio.pdf.txt36a6478cf04d14e5a28fa2879b00d8c2MD55ORIGINALAndré Luiz Alves Bonifácio.pdfAndré Luiz Alves Bonifácio.pdfapplication/pdf1713561https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/23698/2/Andr%c3%a9%20Luiz%20Alves%20Bonif%c3%a1cio.pdff26385b88674bffa99124f8a33bdc923MD52LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
