Trata-se de analisar, em uma escola de educação infantil municipal de São Paulo, como se dá a compatibilidade entre gênero e funções exercidas e como são expressos o reconhecimento, a aceitação e a identificação dos papéis dos sujeitos em seus espaços de atuação – Diretor e Professor – homens – pela comunidade/famílias e corpo docente. Orienta a pesquisa a hipótese de que o reconhecimento do professor ou gestor homem, no efetivo exercício de suas funções na educação infantil, incluindo o cuidar, pode desconstruir o clássico binarismo de gênero. A investigação foi realizada por meio de pesquisa qualitativa do tipo analítico-descritiva, para entender a visão que a equipe técnica, corpo docente e mães / pais de alunos(as) de uma escola de educação infantil expressam sobre a presença de professor e diretor homens, no efetivo exercício de suas funções nesse tipo e nível de escolaridade básica, bem como seu papel na interação com as crianças no dia a dia escolar. Selecionou-se para investigação uma escola de educação infantil municipal que tivesse em sua composição pelo menos um professor e um profissional gestor – do sexo masculino e cuja equipe técnica e corpo docente concordassem em participar da pesquisa. A coleta dos dados foi realizada por meio de: a) Análise de documentos e Entrevistas semi-estruturadas individuais. A pesquisa foi realizada com o apoio de autores como Berger y Luckmann (pela contribuição em relação aos conceitos de socialização primária e secundária), Apple e Scott (por seus estudos sobre o conceito de “gênero” como categoria de análise em educação). A esses autores são acrescidos pesquisadoras como Carvalho, Moreno e Louro (cujas pesquisas trazem reflexões teóricas e metodológicas orientadoras para novos estudos). Os resultados confirmam em parte a hipótese investigada: de um lado, constata-se que a presença de homens num espaço majoritariamente feminino torna possível, sim, o debate e a ruptura do discurso e práticas sexistas e dos papeis sociais de gênero e, de outro lado, os resultados conduzem a novas questões de pesquisa sobre a presença de homens no ambiente escolar da educação infantil e sobre a possibilidade de que essa presença e atuação possam trazer mudanças nesse espaço de socialização, rompendo com a organização do trabalho com base no gênero dos profissionais e trazendo para esse universo, referências de sua socialização primária e secundária, diferentes das que as profissionais mulheres possuemCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superiorapplication/pdfhttp://tede2.pucsp.br/tede/retrieve/38004/Michelle%20Mariano%20Mendonca.pdf.jpgporPontifícia Universidade Católica de São PauloPrograma de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Educação: História, Política, SociedadePUC-SPBrasilFaculdade de EducaçãoEducação infantilProfissionais homensRelações de gêneroChildhood educationGender relationshipMale professionalsCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAO::TOPICOS ESPECIFICOS DE EDUCACAOImpacto da presença de gestores e professores homens em centros de educação infantil: alguns elementos para compreensãoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da PUC_SPinstname:Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP)instacron:PUC_SPTEXTMichelle Mariano Mendonca.pdf.txtMichelle Mariano Mendonca.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain275906https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/18781/4/Michelle%20Mariano%20Mendonca.pdf.txtc246f461d82634ca6f7c18842eb81603MD54THUMBNAILMichelle Mariano Mendonca.pdf.jpgMichelle Mariano Mendonca.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg1956https://repositorio.pucsp.br/xmlui/bitstream/handle/18781/3/Michelle%20Mariano%20Mendonca.pdf.jpge42be98924c9ca84dfb73334f16446f4MD53LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
