Resumo: The fellings of nursing professionals in the care of breast cancer patients. This research aimed to know the feelings of nurses caring for women with breast cancer. This is a qualitative research conducted in the Ambulatory Social Sustainability of the German Hospital Oswaldo Cruz located in the east of the city of São Paulo. The study included a nurse and six techniques of active nursing in the Ambulatory. Initially, we sought to characterize the participants and later interviews were conducted using two questions about how these professionals feel when they see the crying and emotions of women with breast cancer, and what to do in that situation. The speeches were evaluated by thematic analysis. Met the following categories with regard to feelings: feelings of compassion; identification cases, fears and feelings of helplessness, fancy going through that situation in their personal lives and troubles facing the finitude. Identified the following attitudes: Hold the tears, leaving the site, seek strength in God, overprotection with family and value the work environment We conclude that nursing has feelings like fear, helplessness, sadness, fantasies of being affected by Furthermore, to identify the role of the mother and the inability to cope with the diagnosis of the patient which meets. This study shows the need to create a space on the desktop that allows professionals to present their anxieties and limitations thus minimizing possible sufferings

Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa desenvolvida em um Ambulatório de Sustentabilidade Social do Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz localizado na zona leste da cidade de São Paulo. Participaram do estudo uma enfermeira e seis técnicas de enfermagem atuantes no Ambulatório. Inicialmente, buscou-se caracterizar os participantes e posteriormente foram realizadas entrevistas, utilizando-se duas perguntas sobre como esses profissionais se sentem ao verem o choro e as emoções das mulheres com câncer de mama, e o que fazem nessa situação. Os discursos foram avaliados pela técnica de análise temática. Encontrou-se as seguintes categorias em relação aos sentimentos: sentimentos de compaixão; identificação com os casos, medos e o sentimento de impotência, fantasia de passarem por tal situação em suas vidas pessoais e angústias frente à finitude. Identificou-se as seguintes atitudes: Segurar o choro, sair do local, buscar força em Deus, Superproteção com os familiares e Valorizar o ambiente de trabalho Conclui-se que a enfermagem possui sentimentos como medos, impotência, tristezas, fantasias de serem acometidas pela doença, além de identificar o papel da mãe e a incapacidade de lidarem com o diagnóstico da paciente da qual atende.
