Resumo: | In the context of struggling for education, it is possible to perceive certain rebellious movements triggered by the people, when the State, in a mismatch of interest, intends or seeks to offer benefits to the population. On its turn, the population builds or rebuilds its educational spaces, sometimes moving in parallel with the intentions of the public power, and other times creating alternatives to dodge electoral objectives, with discernment above all the looks. Schools must be built because they are the citizens' guaranteed rights. However, conflicts might occur when these citizens' priority is another one. This fact, in the great metropolis of São Paulo/Brazil, led me to conduct a research study on a community, its history and its rejection of the public school which was built against their wishes on a lot previously occupied. Such a lot had been designed to be a leisure space in the community, going against an entire reality. Through an anthropological look, I could get to know the history of the community, the actions of the inhabitants and the educators' reaction in the daily life of the school. The history retold showed the reverse side of a government project rejected by the community. Which space is more valuable, the one for leisure or for school? I saw, felt and tried to understand the paradoxes and inconsistencies of the situation. With the school being vandalized, unsafe work environment, a big turnover of educators, it was an eternal starting over! What guarantees that the school will reach success? Having an innovative educational proposal, with the school and the community working together, and an adequate maturation time the construction of new spaces and new identities became possible and finally the so dreamed way to success was found |

With the school being vandalized, unsafe work environment, a big turnover of educators, it was an eternal starting over! What guarantees that the school will reach success? Having an innovative educational proposal, with the school and the community working together, and an adequate maturation time the construction of new spaces and new identities became possible and finally the so dreamed way to success was foundNo contexto da luta pela educação, é possível perceber certos movimentos de rebeldia desencadeados pelo povo, quando o Estado num descompasso de interesses, pretende ou busca oferecer benesses à população.
