Resumo: | This study aimed to analyze the Malês Revolt, one of the main enslaved uprisings that occurred in Brazil, identifying whether the force of the common can be an effective instrument of reality transformation. It is a qualitative research and it uses documentary research as data collection process. Volume number 50 of the Annals of Public Archive of the State of Bahia, which assembles part of the judicial processes regarding the Revolt, was analyzed. Supported by the ethicalepistemological principles of Social-Historical Psychology and dialectical and historical materialism methodology, it sought in the subtext, according to Vigotski’s recommendation, the comprehension of thoughts, affections and meanings, which sustained the action of the Malês, in other words, its affectivevolitional base. The results show that the common was built within the Malê people through daily life meetings, by transgressing circulation and use of the territories in which they lived and or worked, as resistance strategy to the inhuman conditions to which they were submitted. The common presents as potentiality, individual and collective, in its ontological dimension, according to Spinosa’s assumptions of freedom search, providing the emergence of a political subject, a multitude, capable of confronting dominant power. Thus, the research shows the common can be an effective instrument of reality transformation |

Thus, the research shows the common can be an effective instrument of reality transformationA presente pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar o Levante dos Malês, uma das principais insurreições de escravizados realizada aqui no Brasil, identificando se a força do comum pode ser um instrumento efetivo de transformação da realidade. Foi uma pesquisa qualitativa e utilizou como procedimento de coleta de dados a investigação documental. Foi analisado o volume nº 50 dos Anais do Arquivo Público do Estado da Bahia, que reúne parte dos processos judiciais do Levante. Apoiada nos pressupostos ético-epistemológicos da Psicologia Sóciohistórica e no método materialista histórico e dialético, buscou, seguindo a recomendação de Vigotski, no subtexto a compreensão dos pensamentos, dos afetos e dos sentidos, que sustentaram a ação dos Malês, ou seja, a sua base afetivo-volitiva. Os resultados demonstram que o comum foi sendo constituído entre o povo Malê por meio dos encontros realizados na vivência cotidiana, ao transgredirem a circulação e uso dos territórios em que viviam e/ou trabalhavam, como estratégia de resistência às situações desumanas a que foram submetidos. O comum aparece como potência, individual e coletiva, em sua dimensão ontológica, segundo os pressupostos spinozistas, de busca da liberdade, propiciando o surgimento de um sujeito político, a multitudo, capaz de se contrapor ao poder dominante.
