Resumo: Theoretical framework: The concept of personality refers to an individual's characteristic set, which maintains people's behavior relatively stable, consequently, it makes the individual a being who has got unique characteristics. The theory models are hypothesis based on Observable Phenomenon, and their base follow theories previously developed. Otto Kernberg?s Personality Organization model (PO) is based on object-relations theory, which has came from psychoanalysis, its objective systematizes the evaluation of the constructs Identity Diffusion, Primitive Defenses, and Reality Testing, as well as, Aggressiveness and Moral Values, it enables the professional a range of information, detection and understanding of symptomatic severity. The Inventory of Personality Organization (IPO) is a tool, which mensures these constructs. Goals: Given the diversity of studies and the wide use of the IPO worldwide, this review sought to systematize and explored the scientific evidence to use IPO as a clinical and research instrument. Selection Strategy: They were searched in MEDLINE sources (accessed by PubMed), EMBASE, Psycoanalitic Electronic Plublishing (PEP) and CAPES Periodicals (through the EBSCO server, which includes the PsycINFO search), using the descriptors ?IPO?, ?Inventory of Personality?, Organization? and ?personality organization?. There was no population restriction, methodology, intervention, or study start date, only the March 2019 limit. Sixty studies were selected and subdivided into studies of psychometric properties and clinical application. Registration number was CRD42017068009. Results: According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, 60 studies have been selected and subdivided in studies of psychometric properties and validation, and clinical application. About the psychometric results, there was an absence of standardization and divergences in the results referring to the most adequate factorial models to represent the constructs of PO measured by the IPO. However, it seems to be a current tendency to choose factorial models which present a General Factor as an expression of the structural pathology severity evidence points to the union of the two Primary Clinical Subscales in a single one composed of ID and DP. The IPO has presented several and extensive clinical relevance and applicability. Fields of future research and IPO perspectives use in clinical practice are discussed. Conclusion: The obtained results in this systematic review may have important implications for clinical practice. The clinically detectable and dysfunctional expressions? approach, when guided by the broader and deeper understanding of human behavior. Knowing PO, it can be optimized and present better responses in a general clinical ambit. The IPO can provide this understanding in a useful and widely diffused way.

Submitted by PPG Medicina e Ci?ncias da Sa?de (medicina-pg@pucrs.br) on 2020-01-20T14:58:46Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertac?a?o- versa?o final corrigida .pdf: 1979953 bytes, checksum: 76dcebe2cdb1ef31bab216b4db464d0c (MD5)Rejected by Sheila Dias (sheila.dias@pucrs.br), reason: Devolvido devido faltar o artigo ?O? no in?cio do t?tulo na capa institucional e no preenchimento do TEDE, e a data de defesa diverge da data que est? na folha da banco no trabalho. on 2020-01-31T11:30:43Z (GMT)Submitted by PPG Medicina e Ci?ncias da Sa?de (medicina-pg@pucrs.br) on 2020-02-06T13:24:52Z No. of bitstreams: 1 JULIANA TAINSKI DE AZEVEDO_at04022020.pdf: 1363694 bytes, checksum: ccf69652083854acffc52363485cab93 (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Sheila Dias (sheila.dias@pucrs.br) on 2020-02-10T11:33:27Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 1 JULIANA TAINSKI DE AZEVEDO_at04022020.pdf: 1363694 bytes, checksum: ccf69652083854acffc52363485cab93 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2020-02-10T11:44:50Z (GMT).
