Resumo: | The demand for agroecological agriculture, which aims at the survival of future generations through the sustainability of the production means, brings up the need to seek a greater balance between agroecosystems, in other words, between the environment and human intervention. To this end, one of the ways to try to reduce the environmental damage, especially arising from the latest Agricultural Revolutions, is by rescuing the traditional knowledge of the people, which could contribute to science for sustainable development. In this aspect, one of the most widespread knowledge among communities around the world is that the different phases of the moon influence earth events. Therefore, this work was carried out in order to obtain information on the use of knowledge about the influence of lunar phases in the field routine activities by farmers of the Guarapuava –PR region. Through interviews with 100 farmers in fifteen municipalities in the region, data were collected on the existence, transmission and use of such knowledge. As a result, it was found that 100% of respondents believe that the lunar phases influence some activity such as planting, logging, fishing or animal husbandry. In addition, in at least 94% of the properties visited, observing moon phases guides day-to-day practices through instructions passed down orally through generations. |

Para tanto, uma das formas de se tentar diminuir os danos ambientais, decorrentes especialmente das últimas Revoluções Agrícolas, é através do resgate de conhecimentos tradicionais dos povos, que poderiam vir a contribuir com a ciência para um desenvolvimento sustentável. Neste sentido, um dos conhecimentos mais difundidos entre comunidades do mundo todo é o de que as diferentes fases da Lua exercem influência sobre os acontecimentos terrestres. Sendo assim, este trabalho foi realizado no intuito de obter informações sobre a utilização, por parte dos agricultores da região de Guarapuava –PR, de conhecimentos sobre a influência das fases lunares nas atividades rotineiras do campo. Através de entrevistas realizadas com 100 produtores rurais de quinze municípios da região, foram levantados dados sobre a existência, transmissão e utilização de tais conhecimentos. Como resultados, constatou-se que 100% dos entrevistados acredita que as fases lunares influenciam de algum modo atividades como plantio, extração de madeira, pesca ou criação animal.
