Resumo: The present research proposes to analyze representations printed in eight cartoons selected from the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, focusing on the fake news phenomenon and its relationship with themes such as media, culture, science and politics during the Covid-19 pandemic, in the period between 2019-2021, proposing possibilities of observation of the pandemic through the eyes of the press. What is intended is to contribute to the undertaking of organizing the memory of Brazil from the analysis of cartoons on the theme of fake news, broadening the horizons of this problem. The theoretical referential will gather authors that dissertate about cultural studies, journalism, memory, cartoons, representation, media and post-truth, relating these theories to the studies about the construction of fake news, considering its intervention on the habits and customs of society, along with the need for a critical reading of the theme and the way it is approached in the cartoons present in the selected editions.

Paulo, privilegiando-se o enfoque sobre o fenômeno das fake news e sua relação com temas como mídia, cultura, ciência e política durante a pandemia da Covid-19, no período entre 2019-2021, propondo possibilidades de observação da pandemia pelo olhar da imprensa. O que se pretende é contribuir para o empreendimento de organização da memória do Brasil a partir da análise de charges sobre o tema das fake news, alargando os horizontes dessa problemática.
