Resumo: Studies that address autoecological aspects (e.g., population structure, vegetative and reproductive phenology, germination) help in understanding the environmental factors that determine the distribution and reproductive effort of plant species. Such approaches generate information that is useful for both the conservation and management of natural populations, and for domestication and plant breeding. The present work aimed to evaluate: the population structure, phenological and biometric aspects of vegetative and reproductive traits and germinative behavior of Syagrus harleyi Glassman plants. A total of 20 plots of 10x10m were marked in the city of Mucug?/BA - Chapada Diamantina, with five plots distributed in rocky or sandy and preserved or anthropized environments. In the first chapter, information on population structure and spatial distribution are presented. We observed that the population structure is significantly different between environments, and the populations studied have significant levels of spatial aggregation. Additionally, the anthropogenic factor was detected as contributory to the observed differences in population structures. In the second chapter, we present the variation of morphometric descriptors between environments, aspects on vegetative and reproductive phenology, as well as aspects related to stigmatic receptivity, pollen viability and germinative assays. It was observed that the phenological and vegetative and reproductive aspects are significantly different at the environment level, with stigmas and pollens presenting good functionality, and a reasonable amount of fruit that also occurs statistical difference at the environment level. However, the germinative assays of 600 seeds distributed in six treatments were very low (i.e., <1%).But similar germinative behavior was observed for most of the Syagrus species studied, which can be classified as non-uniform.

Tais abordagens geram informa??es que s?o ?teis tanto para a conserva??o e manejo de popula??es naturais, quanto para domestica??o e melhoramento gen?tico. O presente trabalho objetivou avaliar: a estrutura populacional, aspectos fenol?gicos e biom?tricos dos caracteres vegetativos e reprodutivos e comportamento germinativo de plantas de Syagrus harleyi Glassman. Ao todo foram marcadas 20 parcelas de 10x10 m, localizadas na cidade de Mucug?/BA ? Chapada Diamantina, sendo cinco parcelas distribu?das em ambientes rochosos ou arenosos e conservados ou antropizados. No primeiro cap?tulo, informa??es sobre a estrutura populacional e distribui??o espacial s?o apresentadas. Observamos que a estrutura populacional ? significativamente diferente entre os ambientes, e as popula??es estudadas apresentam n?veis significativos de agrega??o espacial. Adicionalmente, o fator antropiza??o foi detectado como contributivo para as diferen?as observadas nas estruturas populacionais. No segundo cap?tulo, apresentamos a varia??o de descritores morfom?tricos entre os ambientes, aspectos sobre a fenologia vegetativa e reprodutiva, bem como aspectos relacionados com a receptividade estigm?tica, viabilidade pol?nica e ensaios germinativos. Observou-se que os aspectos fenol?gicos e vegetativos e reprodutivos s?o significativamente diferentes em n?vel de ambiente, com estigmas e p?lens apresentando boa funcionalidade e uma quantidade de frutos razo?veis que tamb?m ocorre diferen?a estat?stica em n?vel de ambiente.
